Summary
Flash: MIL Illumination For P1DCF, P1DD0, P1DB8 This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with new software. The following Transmission Control Module (TCM) calibration improvements are available for (KL) Jeep Cherokee. Both engines ((EHB) 3.2L V6 24V VVT and (ED6) 2.4L I4 Multi Air) ? P1DB8 Unintended Torque Applied while in Neutral (set due to erroneous DTC) ? P1DCF TCM Monitoring Processor Performance - Unallowed Park Engagement due to ABS Failure (set due to erroneous DTC). ? P1DD0 TCM Monitoring Processor Performance - Unallowed Park Engagement (set due to erroneous DTC). 2.4L KL (ED6) only ? Shift comfort complaint on 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts when lifting foot off throttle ? P1DCF TCM Monitoring Processor Performance - Unallowed Park Engagement due to ABS Failure (set due to erroneous DTC). ? P1DD0 TCM Monitoring Processor Performance - Unallowed Park Engagement (set due to erroneous DTC). ? Busy shifting from transmission on grades ? Shift busyness at 75 MPH with 7-8 and 8-7 shifts ? Shift comfort complaint on 3-2 and 2-1 coasting downshifts in Sport mode 3.2L KL (EHB) only ? Shift comfort complaints during ESS auto-start and launch The following Transmission Control Module (TCM) calibration improvements are available for (UF) 200. ? P1DB8 Unintended Torque Applied while in Neutral set due to erroneous DTC ? Slow to downshift. Fixed by making 9-7, 7-4, and 6-4 downshifts more available ? Poor shift quality on 1-2 and 2-3 lift-foot upshifts ? Poor shift quality on 4-3 downshift while coasting ? Poor shift quality on 4-3, 3-2, and 2-1 coasting downshifts in Sport mode
