The contact owns a 2009 Chrysler 300C. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle erroneously downshifted and the ABS and engine warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road for a brief and would only resume at a low speed. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the front wheel sensors were replaced. While driving the vehicle the low tire pressure light came on, I checked and found my front tire looked low. I went to unscrew the valve cap and it kept turning, upon further inspection I found the metal valve stem was cracked and the schrader valve was only being held in by a burr from the cracked metal stem. At that point I was unable to put any air into the tire. The potential for the schrader to just blow out of the stem and cause instant deflation of the tire is why I am reporting this. The metal stems seem to be cheaply made.
