300 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,500 miles

When I have the heat on it would start blowing cold air after about 45 minutes. I actually only use the car mainly to go to work about 3 miles from my house. So I didn't have the problem that much. Didn't even take to the dealer for checking yet. In the summer seems like is working fine with the AC.

I took it to the dealer in the summer of 2014 because of a Recall for an Alternator issue. So I mentioned about the heat problem. They replaced the blend door motor. Winter came & still the same. I changed jobs & now am traveling about an hour to work. Now I start having issues every day. After 45 minutes seems like is on a timer would start blowing cold air. Then after about an hour the fan would go to high speed & the AC would come on. It's 20 degrees outside. This is in November of 2015.

Took to the dealer & they replaced the AC controller. Now the AC doesn't come on & the blower stays normal but still have the cold air problem. Now it seems like the temp is not reading correctly. When it starts getting cold out of the vents I can raise the temp setting & is ok again for awhile. When I finally get to 84 degrees on the temp it seems like is ok. But now the temp inside only stays about 73 degrees. This is an annoying problem & I am not happy with automatic climate control. It never sends any codes to the computer.

Personally I believe its the computer itself. If the car is off for about an hour it will start the same process again. Like the computer resets itself. Hope someone can make sense of this, or a Chrysler engineer will be able to solve. Thanks.

I was driving my car on a long trip with the Heat/AC in the auto mode at 72 degrees.. About 2 hours into the trip it started blowing cold air. I turned the temp setting up to 80 and no change... 90 no change... Finally I pulled over at a rest stop and shut the car off. After about 10 minutes I restarted the car and it worked fine. Had the same exact problem about a month later... Took it to the dealership and they said it works fine.
