300C Limited Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 150,000 miles

Car dies after fueling, may die in parking lot or anytime in the next few miles. It stutters then dies, it has just begun to die while coming to a stop. It also did want to shift back in gear after restarting. This is extremely dangerous as it will die while pulling into traffic. My mechanic can not find the problem and the dealership is not sure either. Their suggestion was change the fuel pump and hope that's it.

This is a real problem, the car, if filled all the way up will just die while driving. Then when you restart it, it will not shift into gear, like the transmission has gone out. You have to keep shifting back and forth between drive, park, reverse, and sometimes even shut it back off and restart it to get it back into gear. This will happen for about ten straight minutes, the last time I restarted the car 7 times before it stayed running. Keep in mind, it stalls WHILE you are driving! This needs to get fixed BEFORE someone gets killed!

300C 5.7L Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 77,000 miles

I hear that the dealers are receiveing one replacement part every two weeks. You must first have your vehicle inspected by the dealer, then you are placed on a waiting list. The service reps at the dealership never informed me that a vehicle inspection was required. $40,000 car has "clunker" status. Stalls repeatedly, will not restart. Every left turn a potential accident! A skateboard would be safer!

THIS CAR HAS BEEN A TOTAL PIECE OF CRAP…DEALER HAD TO REPLACE WINDSHELD BECAUSE OF BAD dimmer sensor ….REPLACE DASH BECAUSE OF BLISTERS OR BUBBLES THAT FORMED UNDER THE PLEATHER OR WHATEVER THEY USED TO COVER THE DASH. then my windows would freeze in the summer…Dealer said i was nuts.. after over two years they found the 55111030AG CONTROL HEAD had been falty SINCE the car was made…upper windshield moldings whistled at 70 mph…radiator brackets were FALTY…dealer broke bolts off and had to take extra time for repair…SINCE NOVEMBER 20 2008 THEY HAVE REFUSED TO TAKE CARE OF A PROBLEM THAT 100'S OF PEOPLE HAVE WITH THIS MODEL…and of course my car also has….EVERY TIME YOU FILL THE TANK WITH FUEL….IT WILL STALL 6- 10 TIMES THE FIRST 5-10 MINUTES AFTER YOU PURCHASE THE FUEL AND TRY TO GET OUT OF THE SERVICE AREA AND ONTO THE HIGHWAY TO CONTINUE YOUR TRIP…..DAM NEAR GOT SMASHED by a truck AS WHEN ENGINE STALLS YOU HAVE TO KICK IT OUT OF DRIVE TO RESTART ENGINE….wife is afraid to drive on trips…sometimes have to sit idling in gas station or drive in parking lot until car quits stalling so you can continue your trip..has to stall 5-10 times then runs fine until you have to refill….THEN THE WHLE THING STARTS OVER AGAIN…. IF ANY LAWYER WANTS TO SUE THESE PEOPLE MY CAR CAN BE USED AS AN EXIBIT.

300C Limited 5.7L Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,027 miles

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT I TRADED IN A 2010 DODGE CHARGER SXT 3.5L WITH 50,000 MILES ON IT FOR THIS 2005 CHRYSLER 300C 5.7 HEMI WITH 63,027 MILES ON IT. THE DAY OF THE DEAL I DROVE TO THE GAS STATION BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP FILLED MY TANK UP FOR ME BECAUSE IT WAS BELOW EMPTY AND RIGHT AFTER I LEFT FROM FILLING UP THE GAS TANK IT STARTED TO STALL OUT LIKE 6 TIMES ON THE WAY BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A BAD HOSE AND THAT IT ENDED UP BEING A BATTERY SO REPLACED THE BATTERY AND IT WAS FINE UNTIL I FILLED THE GAS TANK BACK UP THEN IT STARTED STALLING OUT AGAIN. I CALLED THE SALESMAN I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM ON HIS CELL PHONE AND HE TOLD ME I COULD DROP THE CAR OFF SO IT COULD BE CHECKED OUT AND HE WOULD SEE IF THEY COULD GIVE ME A LOANER BECAUSE I HAVE A TRIP PLANNED TO GO VISIT FAMILY. I REALLY HOPE CHRYSLER DOES THE RECALL ON THE FUEL TANK BECAUSE I'VE READ ON THE TOPIX FORUM THAT THERE GONNA BE DOING A RECALL FINALLY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.
