300C LX 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 176,000 miles

Car has recently started with engine light being on, then the EPS/BAS light was on. After a few days, ALL the lights on the instrument panel are flashing as I am driving the car. Gauges going to zero also while driving. A/C air will turn to warm eventually, but then the AC will get cold again while driving but panel still flashes until car is turned off.

We've pulled fuses to see if it was possibly fuses that didn't seem to work. We cleaned the front control module, that only worked for a day..then it started back up again. Took it to the Chrysler dealership, they replaced the ignition saying that was the issue, and that didn't help at all.

The car doesn't stay on now. When the key is turned on it will just shut off. When we turn the car on the alarm auto start it will stay on, but after a few tries, it won't stay on any longer. With the key, turns over but then turns right off. Once the key is used it will not stay on. The key lock/unlock stopped working and would not unlock the trunk either. We just had new keys bought and programmed to the car in August from the dealership themselves. Instrument panel still flashes even after ignition was replaced.

Dealership now refuses to look at the car again, until after we have the after market security alarm removed saying that is what is causing the problem. but the alarm was and has always been working. We don't think it's the alarm. Now we are stuck with our car, not being able to drive it...with NO ONE understanding the problem to be able to find us a solution.

With all the crazy issues going on with my Chrysler 300C, I took the car for an oil change and told the New Smyrna Beach Chrysler dealer of my issues. Flashing lights, warning bell ringing randomly, shared the haunting's... I also got a recall notice for the gas tank that I gave to this dealership service person. They never called me back for the recall notice.

Now with car's in shop, after investigating and completing my oil change, they advised that I should have my motor mounts changed. WHAT??? was my response. What do motor mounts have to do with it stalling, dash board flashing lights, alarm bell randomly ringing, transmission locking up from time to time, stalling after fueling up... With that, I paid my bill and got out of there to never return...

I took my car to my old mechanic friend George. He had the Car for three(3) days, where he checked everything. Got on mechanic blogs and discovered that I might not be the only one in the world with these issues. He checked 7 computer modules separately with the conviction that everything was OK, but the car kept doing all the crazy stuff. He changes the cooling fans and I paid for them, to realize that certainly was not the problem. I, with George, established that when the car is hot it will trip off the cycle of haunting's. We established that the car was haunted. Very funny, and this was the first time I ever heard George tell me he "gives up and go to another Chrysler dealership".

So then I took the car to Daytona Chrysler who kept it overnight and did everything they could to establish the cause of these haunting's. I paid them for their time. I picked up the car to be told that they would like to change the main computer at my expense. I asked if that would resolve the issues, and was advised that there was no way they could guarantee that it would take care of the issues at hand. At this point I have now spent over $1,200.00 dollars to have everyone tell me there is no real fix, no one knows whats going on, and everyone is willing to play with my car at my expense with no foreseeable resolution.

The weather has become cooler now and the car runs better when cold. Except when the transmission locks up and I have to stop or try to force it to shift by accelerating very slowly and slowing down... this is quite nerve racking in traffic, At stop lights, and when passengers are in the car. Once unlocked, it runs like a champ, mind you with the bell ringing and dashboard flashing always, I can drive it and it runs and still offers a great ride. Now my wife will not drive it nor would I lend it to anyone as it does take some time to get over all the warning signals, and computer cycles... It's all so weird and that no one can fix it. I paid very good money for this car and I had the expectation of it being reliable and trustworthy. I'm a Mopar big block lover. I have had many Chrysler products but this one just blows my mind.

Considering that there isn't anyone that can figure this out and when I ask to trade in, now they will not offer me more that $1,500 dollars for it, and expect me to drop $35-40,000 dollars for another one kills me. This car is not 10 years old and Chrysler must know something that they are running away from...

Does anyone know of a solution for me? Is there something that can be done without having to spend more thousands of dollars for nothing? Does Chrysler actually care for owners of their products?

I am angry to think that I really love my car but has made itself worthless and the manufacturer and it's dealers are not able to step up and find my solution without billing me top dollar while I watch them drag their feet with no solutions. Ya keep taking my money, if I am stupid enough to just keep paying they will keep raping me blind and will never admit that they do not have any solutions to my cars issues.

Does anyone know anything? Will a Chrysler Corp. person see this and contact me with a solution?

Yes I pray, and I am loosing faith in Chrysler... JD.

loved the car until this problem started. I've had it to a certified mechanic several times and it never gets fixed. I think he is just guessing and throwing parts at it and praying.

We bought this car Sept 6th from a dealership "as is". The following week all of the dash lights and meters started to go haywire. They will randomly all come on momentarily and then go off. Had the alternator and battery checked today, all appears fine there. What I am questioning isif it is the liability of the dealership to fix this if it is within the first 30 days of purchase or is it that optional to the individual dealership? Are there any alternative lemon laws that apply to this situation? Is there a solution to this problem, or something I should bring to the attention of the service department?

The dash on the chrysler 300c will just start flashing and most of the time it will go out for a few days. Suddenly, it comes back on like nothing happened. There is no set frequency except it happens a couple times a month. The dealer will do nothing unless they see the issue and we were lucky on one occasion it happened just as we pulled into the dealer service center. They had to replace the entire Dashboard computer module. After about 6 months it started again

At numerous times all dash lights and gauges will go on,flash, up,down and head lights will go off originaly switched in the Automatic position. Must than turn headlight switch to manual on or stop car and restart which everything is than restored to normal. Been to Dealer twice they first found multiple flashes on CCN, WCM, FCM and PCM. I was advised that all software updates were installed for these coded modules. Also lots of electrical spray cleaner was used but I was not told that by the service rep. I know from the smell. In less than 350 miles at night it did it again three time in 20 minutes. Took it back to the dealer and they could not duplicate the problem therefore advising they could not fix the problem.

This is a real safety problem when driving at night and all the lights go out. I know to switch to manual to restore headlight but my wife would not know what to do even if told! From what I have read in your reports this is a comon problem. The Dealer Service Rep indicated to me twice that my problem is one of a kind. Someone doesn't know what they are talking about and it is sure not me!

Well, l'm driving and all of a sudden out of nowhere all my dash lights come on at once and begin to turn off and on, along with the A/C, and the head lights. I of course stop the vehicle and turn the engine off, when I turn it back on everything is back to normal. Or at least that's what l think, this has happened at least 3 or 4 time to date. Just today a few minutes ago my headlights would not come on in the A (Auto) position until l shut the engine off and restarted it.

Problem described to me by my mother after having to deal with this problem one day.

Just purchased this car used and one day the memory seats would not go into the proper position. She reprogrammed the seats and left for the day. On the way to work the entire console (radio, nav system, dashboard) flickered and shut off, and did not turn back on until the engine was restarted. Hasn't happened again afterwards.

All of the warning lights will occasionally begin flashing on and off, and the instrument gauges won't work (speedometer, fuel level, etc), and the air conditioner will stop. Once the car is turned off, and then restarted, the problem usually stops. Have taken to the dealer twice, and they can't find problem.
