Aspen Limited Hemi

Purchased my 2008 Chrysler Aspen December 2008. It is black with light tan leather interior. After using my heated seat, I noticed blue dye on the side of the seat. I took it to the dealer, and they replaced both front seat covers. The seats were fine until I started using the heaters in them come winter 2009. Once again they started to turn blue, only on the outside by the seat adjustment controls. I took it to the dealer again where they then contacted a Chrysler engineer to see what was going on. The engineer did some testing and concluded that the dye was coming from the inside padding of the seat. Everytime it was heated, the dye would come through. They replaced the covers. Now it's doing it again and Chrysler is calling it a "cosmetic" issue. I have had my Aspen 2 years and have less than 28000 miles on it. It's still covered under factory warranty and we've purchased the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty. Chrysler claims it's "cosmetic". Cosmetic would be an after market accessory. I purchased my car with tan leather interior, not tan leather interior that bleeds dye when the seats are turned on.
