Concorde 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 53,000 miles
The contact owns a 2002 Chrysler Concorde. While accelerating from a stop, the back of the driver seat reclined to the floor without warning. The contact pulled off the road and noticed that the entire seat failed. Chrysler stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA campaign id number 03V035000 (seats:front assembly:recliner). The manufacturer stated that they would not repair the seat again for free and would not provide reimbursement for the repairs. The current and failure mileages were 53,000. Updated 01-14-08. A local mechanic replaced the seat track and tie rod end. Updated 12/12/07.

Concorde 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 101,000 miles
I just got off the highway. While I was parking the vehicle I heard popping noise under the hood and I completely lost steering. The bolts holding the inner rods and rack and pinion broke off. After some research I found out that this is very common problem for this line of Chrysler vehicles. I called Chrysler customer service. They claim that this is not their problem because the car is not under manufacture warranty..
