Intrepid LX 2.7L

it's weird you depress the pedal to a point ant it hits a "wall" then with some delay the wheels lock up. but after I drive it for a while (30min) it returns to normal it only happen when the car sits over night in below freezing temperatures. could moisture get in some where?
