Driving my vehicle in town taking my kids to school and with no warning the car just stopped. Felt like we hit a wall. Luckily me and my children were not hurt except for some seat belt bruising. While looking around online I found there was a recall on the 2005 Pacificas for this same problem. I called Chrysler to tell them I want it fixed and they claim my vehicle is not part of the recall and wouldn't help me. I asked if maybe it should have been a bigger recall than they thought and maybe they made a mistake so could they please look at it and make sure the part that was recalled wasn't the same problem I'm having. They wouldn't assist me in any way. This is unacceptable and unsafe for me and my children.

On Jan 16, 2012 car missfired on an incline several times within 12 miles, then stalled upon turning right. During the return trip, missfired several times in an incline. Stalled backing out of a drive way. Engine light came on. Took the car to mechanic and the light register the cam shaft. Replaced it. During another incident two days later on Jan. 29, 2012. The car again miss fired on an incline then promptly stalled - not on the turn - during the incline. Had to wait several minutes for the car to start again. The miss firing has been occuring for at least two months intermittantly. I got it checked with the engine light came on, but the replacement of the can shaft didn't correct the problem. The first stall occured on Jan 16, 2012. The engine light is back on after the stall today. After researching this issue, it seems that this is not just my car, but many Pacifica's have this problem. I'll be notifying Chrysler dealer tomorrow. I'm am very concerned about this issue. I do not feel safe in this car.

When I initially purchased my vehicle, 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, from genesis auto sales located at 1005 springdale rd in austin, tx. 78721 there was noise by the front left tire. After bringing this to the companies attention they agreed to fix it. The kept the vehicle about a week. The day I picked it up my father looked it over and found duct tape on the part, cv joint. I took the vehicle back and also mentioned the horn also went out. The company agreed to fix this again as well as perform my inspection as the sticker had expired. The car was kept another 2 weeks. When the vehicle was picked up for a second time the car began overheating. At this time my father and mechanic looked it over and found a busted hose, but they noted that the cv joint was duct taped again this time covered in grease. He also noted missing lug nuts on all tires. I brought this up to the company again who refused to listen. I filed a complaint with dmv, BBB, oag, ftc and dps. Dps sent out an investigator who took pics as well and also noted that the tint on the vehicle was illegal and that not only were lug nuts missing but the lug bolts were broken off. All this as well as the motor mount have since been replaced. The bolts holding the cv joint and motor mount were also found not to be the proper size. On 12/24/11 as I was driving my seat belt became unbolted from the vehicle. I was able to place it back in where it came from but it is not secure. The company refuses to help with these problems and I will be pursuing legal action as all problems with the vehicle have been safety hazards and I am now unable to drive the vehicle for fear myself or my family will be injured as im not sure all problems have been fixed as different noises still occur.

I have previously reported a problem with the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica stalling when turning. The problem has progressively worsened. This month alone, (December 2011) the car has stalled 5 times. I am afraid to drive the car for fear that I will crash when it stalls. There are so many Chrysler Pacifica owners that are reporting the same problem. Along with the stalling issue, the gas pedal sticks and needs to be pushed rather hard. A third problem I have encountered this year is the headlamps "burning out". I have replaced the front left headlamp three this year. I am familiar with the handling instructions for headlamps. I am greatly distressed by these problems, especially the stalling. I have children that I drive around in this car. Please do something about Chrysler's failure to fix this problem.

This has happened three times now (today being most recent). Chrysler Pacifica's engine completely shuts off when taking a left or cutting across traffic to left going at a slow speed. This is extremely dangerous and we have a toddler who we are concerned when we drive in the car. Dealer has run reports and checked car out twice and found nothing. No codes pull up despite the fact the engine light comes on and the system dash says "perform service."

My 2005 Chrysler Pacifica started running terrible at low speeds. It does not run smoothly, instead it kind of chugs along almost like it is missing or like I got a bad tank of gas. I have been through several tanks of gas adding fuel cleaner to it and it doesn't help. I have taken it in to the local Chrysler dealership twice and they can not recreate the problem. It runs fine on the highway but at 35 mph in town I feel it chug along. Very frustrating that Chrysler can not figure out what is happening with it. They hooked it up to the machine and got nothing back. They replaced spark plugs and did a fuel injection flush and also service the transmission and the problem is still happening.

The contacts owns a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. The consumer stated the ABS light illuminated and the brakes went down to the floor when applied. The consumer stated the brake must be pumped prior to stopping. The brakes would sometimes catch when applied and lock up. The brake pads and sensors were replaced. My wife was driving on a busy road in salt lake today on a downhill straightaway and our 2005 Chrysler Pacifica completely stalled. All electronics turned off. All power steering and brakes turned off. She had to push the brakes very hard to get the vehicle to a safe stop and coast to the side of the road. After a brief rest, she was finally able to restart the car and continue her journey, but I no longer feel safe with my wife and children in this car. I called Chrysler and they said there are no warnings or recalls for my vehicle.

I purchased a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica in June of 08. In September I brought the car to a local shop because I noticed the car was not performing well sluggish, clunking noises ect... diagnosis - replace motor and tranny mounts 9/23/2009. In June of 2010 car is in the shop because I hear a clunking everytime I accelerate from a dead stop. Diagnosis-replace motor mounts. It is the end of August and I'm hearing the clunking noise, so I went to the dealer and they are telling me all the motor and tranny mounts are broken. I have read hundreds of postings that Pacifica owners are having with engine mounts. Please can someone do something about this too common problem with Pacificas. Chrysler knows there is problem because they cannot keep enough of them in stock.

Purchased 2005 Chrysler Pacifica 2.5 years ago. Hard shifting started last Sep 2009 56K miles and lunges forward. We will be driving slower speeds, hard shift and sometimes the whole car moves, this would happen daily but, not each time the car was driven. Was told by the dealership this is common. This is not common. Took car back Jan 2010 explaining same issue, they test drove car and said nothing happened. Had to go to dealership test drove with transmission tech who drove the car and finally felt what I was talking about. Found out front motor mount torn, they replaced the motor mount 60K miles. Again, the hard shifting started happening after a couple of months. Took vehicle back to dealership. Each time I have to explain to them this same issue. Each time they tell me that the techtest drives the car and doesn't feel it. June 2010 my husband test drove with the tech and it happened 7 times and the tech states that "no that shouldn't be happening". the tech did a some type of software update. Within the week of this it started again, again took it back and again test driving it doesn't find anything wrong. All they do is perform system tests. They hand wrote on receipt "have customer drive and report if problem persists"...well I am reporting again and again they have my car and a tech test drove and states nothing wrong.
