Headlight bulbs keep burning out. At least 6 times since 2007. The first time both lamps were replaced even though only one had gone out, the rest of the times they were replace individually and every time sylvania bulbs were used. I feel this constitutes a safety problem and not normal maintenance. Also the drivers door lock mechanism broke in Dec. 2009 where the door would not latch close and had to be tied shut the take it for repair. I feel this is also a serious safety failure.

2005 Chrysler Pacifica. Right headlight will quit with no warning, then will come back on its own Accord. Dealer checked for previous reports of problem and found none. Mechanic said the harness comes loose and must be reseated. No easy task since it is under the breather tube and difficult to get to. Also, left rear turn signal will quit working then come back on. Wiring harness seems to be intact so other option would be bulbs (2). However, if they are bad, why does the signal restore itself? dealer had no answer for that mystery either. Problem started mid-summer 2008 and has continued intermittently ever since.

My 2005 Chrysler Pacifica has a defective headlight harness but is not covered under the recall because of the VIN #. I contacted Chrysler but they said oh well, take to dealership and pay for the repairs. I only get 7volts of power to the left headlight and the right I have 10.5volts- barely enough to light the right headlight. Even though my VIN # is not on the list to be recalled, it appears Chrysler did not fix this problem in the later VIN # Pacifica's. Chrysler needs to fess up that this is an engineering snapfu that is dangerous to us since the headlight will only fail, and that is at night when safety is a big issue.
