The fuel gauge has a issue. When the fuel tank is almost half full, it suddenly skip to empty. After that I bought the car in Roy's, they told me the fix will cost $1,000. My solution always was keep full the tank.

Pacifica Limited 4.0L

The fuel gauge reading was inaccurate. It read that the fuel tank is half full then it suddenly would drop to empty. Did not know when car will run out of gas. When I attempt to fill the fuel tank, it will not let the fuel flow into the fuel tank.

Fuel station fill nozzle stopped and fuel spit out of fill opening as if it is full. Because I thought I had tank full, I recorded the miles on the odometer, and used the number of miles traveled to calculate the amount of gas remaining. So then when I thought I had nearly half a tank left, the car ran out of gas in an extremely busy intersection. I was nearly hit by a truck!!

I am trying to figure out the fuel system in this car. I put gas in it and it say that it is full but the needle moves so fast that I can't tell if I have a full tank or not. I fill up and drive about 10 miles and the needle moves down to read a quarter of tank of gas is gone already. What is that about?
