Took Delivery of a brand new 2018 Pacifica Hybrid and had "Engine Temperature Hot" warning when driving. Immediately parked the vehicle in garage and coolant temperature display was reading 258 deg.F on a stationary vehicle idling.

This happened on the 2nd day after we bought the vehicle and it was a Sunday. So decided to plug in the charger and had it charged for 14 hours. On Monday morning, noticed coolant on garage floor by the passenger side tire. Then drove the vehicle to dealer in electric mode and negotiated with the dealer to do a vehicle swap. Thanks to the dealership for willing to listen and working towards exchanging the vehicle. This time decided to buy regular Pacifica with 9 spd transmission.

In the current day technological era, having an engine coolant leak and hot engine temperature warning is "TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE" and should not be justified for a brand new vehicle that's listed at $45K+. This should have been tested thoroughly either at the factory or at the dealership before delivering it to the customer.

I did contact Chrysler Customer Care and report this issue. So far, I have not received a follow up call explaining the root cause or even a courtesy call apologizing for the pains I went through.......
