The car is draining anti-freeze from the freeze plugs, which have rusted >from the inside out. If they go completely, all of the antifreeze blows out >and the engine burns up. It's not a warranty or a normal wear and tear >problem. It's a manufacturing problem dating back to how Chrysler made the >car. >> Chrysler made sebrings for a while down in Mexico and has been forced >to recall the freeze plugs on many of the identical sebrings as this one. >same year, same plant down in Mexico, same make, same model. For some >reason, this car's VIN number wasn't included in the recall and it should >have been. It's having the same problem for the same reason as the other >recalls Chrysler was forced to make because of safety issues. According to the service manager, the car is unsafe to drive and is a $3500 repair job.
