2001 Chrysler sebring lxi no horn, no cruise control, and air bag deactivated (light on) all three of these issues are due to a defective clock spring part# 4649092ac by Chrysler Corp. They had this same issue with their late 90's to early 2000 mini van's. this is a real threat to public safety, and there need to be action taken; do to the fact there are thousands of these clock springs (4649092ac) on the road. Do to the cost of this repair (check alldata auto repair guide), a lot of people will opt out of doing this repair.

Antifreeze leaked into the oil due to water pump failure. The oil was contaminated which resulted in sludging of oil. Hence, the upper engine was not properly lubricated. As a result of not being lubricated, the engine failed. Solution: Complete engine replacement.

When I purchased the car brand new, the sunvisor on top was loose, the dealership said it was fine, then a couple of days later I noticed it was coming off more. They did fix this then I reported that the keyless entry remote did not work. I went there on three occasions for approximately 5 hours total to have this fixed, they did fix and now it does not work again. I am also hearing a water swishing sound when I start the car and when driving mostly in center of car, but can be heard in all area including when I step on and off the brake. I went to the dealership and saw three sales people and they could not help me and told me to come back on Monday. They were very rude and would not even offer a suggestion about the problem I was having. This is a brand new car and costing more than 23,000 dollars, should I have all these problems already. ***dimsii IVOQ entry posted after 12/12/02 cut-over to artemis****741071

Front end suspension, wheel bearing & steering - grinding noise when going over small holes or hills such as speed bumps & pot holes. Almost never when driving directly forward, but often when turning. Dealer made 4 (four) repair attempts and still has not gotten it right. Not 2 months after last repair, which took six weeks to get all the parts together (during which the lemon law coverage for my car expired - go wonder about that..) the noises have returned again. Other issues, I have seen 6 total issues mentioned in this site that I can identify with. As for those sudden accelerations some have mentioned, yes I agree the pedals are too close which makes it easy to mash both brake & gas pedals.

After it rained, water collected in a puddle on the back interior floorboard. The dealer previously suspected the water came from the door seals and replaced them, however the leak resurfaced and it did not come from door seals. Consumer believed the leak came from the chassis. Other problems are as followed: Cd player malfunctioned, A/C unit failed and was repaired two times, the door panel was replaced, the steering column was replaced/squealed when turned/repair kit was installed/clockspring was replaced, the vehicle wouldn't start, there were electrical problems, a loud sound had come from the brakes, the window buttons were loose at the switch, and the engine cranked but did not start and was found to be flooded.
