All of a sudden radio doesn't work- no cd, no radio, no clock. only sign of "life" is flashing lights on the bass and treble- would that mean it's not a fuse problem? My mechanic couldn't figure it out. Any help?

Purchased the car at 60,000 miles. After driving only 4000 miles, the engine needed replaced. Fortunately, I had a 12000 mile warranty but Beechmont Suburu in Cincinnati had it for 3 months! After getting the car back (in the winter), when summer rolled around, my A/C didn't work even though it was awesome the first summer I owned the car. Coincidence? I don't think so, but they say it wasn't a result of the engine being replaced. My interior lights do not work. Another coincidence? My CD player doesn't work; the lights flash, but is inoperable. My transmission is beginning to slip at 67,000 miles; my car is in the shop as I type this for a new battery/alternator. I will NEVER purchase another Chrysler product again. American made? Yes. Reliable? No!

My radio periodically just goes dead; no power and consequently no clock. The indash 4-disk CD changer below the radio continues to have power and will actively seek the connection with the radio which obviously does not respoond. I've gone to a number of dealers and car radio repair shops and got very little info other than we'll sell you a new radio, by-pass your amp and install an after market radio that looks bizarre in the dashboard. The best offer I've had so far was from a local Chrysler dealer parts dept; he offered me what they call a "Function 11" exchange on my radio. For $350 I exchange my radio for a "refurbished" radio, There is no guarantee it will work any better and if it doesn't do the job, I'm out $350. Isn't there some sort of "electronic test" to see if the radio is really bad? Can this same test determine if it could be electrical short in the power amp under the passenger seat? Is there a method to determine whether if a fuse or wiring short is causing the radio to shut down? Can anyone help me out here?

So yeah, I was just online searching for fixes to this problem and I'm dismayed to find that it is NOT uncommon. My radio is doing the same thing, it no longer lets me change the station but yet the volume controls are fine. The only way for me to listen to a cd is to Eject and Reinsert and then it plays the entire thing because I can no longer get any response out of the seek or next or AM/FM buttons. I just had to disconnect the dash to get to the fuse box last night because I discovered that the radio Time display was staying on and flashing even when the car is off. I didn't want it to drain my battery so I pulled out the fuse. (10 amp red in cavity 14 -I'm pretty sure). This car has been a pain in the ass, I just had the transmission worked on in January because the solenoid pack went out ($500.00 repair) the brake light replaced, and now I'm dealing with this radio crap. I,too,will never buy another chrysler.

This car is a piece of crap, it has had one minor problem after another and of course they all started to occur the minute the warranty expired. The costs definitely add up.
I will never buy another Chrysler made vehicle again.

No sound, intermittently, with blinking lights. Turn off radio and the LED lights on radio work and don't blink. No sound at all now. Seems there are others on the Chrysler blog that have the same problem. No clear cause or fix.

The radio was working fine for the first three months. Then one day it just quit, and would just blink off and on. I had it checked out, and the service person just reset the unit. Worked good for about another month, then back to the flashing. Now it's completely dead.

I have three flashing lights on the equalizer section of my radio. I have a cassette radio with a 4 disc factory player underneath. It happened once before but without the flashing code but this time, the radio does not work at all. At first it flashed and showed 12:00 on the display. Now the display has nothing and it still flashes. there is a bright green flash, then a dim green flash, then Nothing. repeatedly. HELP!!

After driving for a period of time , my radio will flash from am to fm,
then the volume will get stuck. After trying to shut it off, it won't. I took my car to my mechanic he saw nothing wrong with it.. The only thing he suggested is that the vibration from driving could trigger a possible wire issue. I was told that he could take apart my dash board to check for more issues that could do this to my radio which is about a three hour job..

I have been looking for answers to this problem for a year, so any help would be great - My 2001 Sebring convertible radio (am-fm / cassette / CD controller with 4 CD changer- P56038518AJ) began flashing its LED lights on its equalizer while all sound and tuner LED display would disappear. This would appear to happen after using the heater or when the car heats up. It would sometimes work for a day, week or even months, only to happen again. I called Chrysler and they said it sounds like the radio unit so I purchased a exact replacement and installed it. The same troubles began again. I don't think it is the radio unit but some type of microprocessor with a heat problem- now in addition to the radio - the heating system blows cold air when I turn on the headlights and returns to heat when they are shut off. Whatever controls electrical settings for various dash/accessory components must be breaking down. Please, if there are recalls or TSB's or anything that can help, let me know. Thanks

I've had this vehicle since new, 8+ years and never have had a problem...
This radio thing (since no one knows what causes it) was nothing but a minor glitch...
After reading this board I went to the interior fuse panel and pulled the master fuse (bat wing, black something or other), while I pulled it the interior lights went off... I reset it and the radio quit flashing, still did not work at first so I pulled it again... The radio works fine and have not had any other problems since....
