ON JAN. 11, 08 MY DAD SIGNED THE CAR TO ME AND I GOT INSURANCE IN MY NAME. THEN ON JAN. 25 AT NIGHT I WAS IN CHULA VISTA GOING TO DINNER WITH SOME FRIENDS AND THE CAR DIED AT A LIGHT, I GOT IT STARTED BUT THEN AT THE NEXT LIGHT IT DIED AGAIN, GOT IT STARTED AND JUST MADE IT AROUND THE CORNER AND IT DIED AGAIN AND THEN I NOTICE A COP CAR HE PUTS ON HIS LIGHTS PULLS OVER AND DID HIS THING CHECKING LIC, REG. ETC.

MAKES US WAIT FOR HIS BACK UP. CHECKS THE CAR AND MY FRIENDS, ETC. THEN HE GETS A CALL AND THEY LEAVE. AFTER ABOUT THE THIRD TIME IT STARTED AGAIN THEN IT DIED (I WAS HEADING BACK TO MY FRIENDS) AND IT DIED AGAIN SO WE HAD TO PUSH IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. CALLED MY INS. THANK GOD I HAD TOWING. WAITED ONE HOURS & 45 MINS. BY MYSELF FOR THE TOW TRUCK (MY FRIENDS CALLED AND SOMEONE CAME AND TOOK THEM HOME) GOT THE CAR TO MY HOUSE (SHOP WAS CLOSED) THEN THE MECHANIC CAME TO MY HOUSE THE NEXT DAY AND HE THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY, SO HE RECHARGED IT AND SAID IT SHOULD BE REPLACED IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. WELL MONDAY MORNING THAT TICK GOT LOUDER THEN I HEARD A BIG LOUD CLUNK. MADE IT TO THE SHOP. WHERE WE CHECKED OIL AND FOUND WATER IN IT (IT LOOKED LIKE SNOT!) THEY GOT ALL THE PARTS NECESSARY HAD TO WAIT FOR EVER CUZ CHRYSLER SENT THE WRONG ONES. THEN MAR. 3 ON A TEST DRIVE WE DID NOT EVEN MAKE IT A HALF A MILE WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THE IT LOST POWER AND THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON. THIS WAS AFTER I PAID THEM $1700.00. NOW THEY TELL ME I NEED TO REPLACE EVERYTHING THEY JUST DID AND THE WHOLE REAR END.

(reported on)

Sebring LXI 2.7 V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

There is a tapping noise on the engine. Chrysler don't know what it might be. Been changing the oil every 3000 km - 2000 miles. There have been so many problems with is i am sick of it. Wheel Bearings, starter, shocks on all 4 wheels, oil pump, in tire rods, coolant leak, and now the taping noise and also the front right axle has to be changed. O boy i could have bought a brand new car
