I bought the car used in 2007 and within a few months was having problems with the radio where it the volume would decreae and increase on its own. Mostly decrease down to zero. If I try to run it back up, it just goes down again. Its intermittent, but happens regularly. I've taken it to the dealer several times for them to look at, at least once while it was still under warranty (less than 30K miles) and they have told me more than once they just don't know how to fix it!!! It also seems to be connected to a problem with the radio control buttons on the steering column. Often when I try to use them, they don't control the radio but instead honk the horn. Very convenient :-) I'm afraid to just go out and buy a new stereo from Best buy or something, b/c I think the problem is bigger than that if its in the steering column too. I got some new part from the dealership that was fairly inexpensive that they said would fix the problem, but it didn't. I also had an issue recently where the horn started honking uncontrollably, but I'm not sure that that is related.
