Vehicle vibrating above 45 mph Chrysler said it was the tires, Michelin said it was the vehicle. We got 25%off the cost of new tires on 02/04/99 under a low speed wobble service bullitin notice. Transmission is a joke. Have had vehicle in time after time since 11/14/99 for incomplete work, tools left on the engine!! transmission fluid and radiator fluid leaking the day after picking up the van. We asked the dealership to check items that another auto shop checked and said needed fixed under the warranty and the dealership told us the other shop didn't know anything that they weren't a dealership! after putting the motor back together, one of the asked to fix components was broken after all and had to be fixed. We are still experiencing problems with "hick-upping" while at a stop also a "wanting to stall and holding back feeling. This has to do with the coil pack (we feel0, that we have asked them to check and looking at the forms received back, it hasn't been. I have asked repeatedly for my copies of the work needing to be done sheets, and have yet to receive them. I have made complaint to the manufacturer and have asked for the regional manager to contact me, but that hasn't happened yet. This was done on approx. 02/08/00, today is 02-25-00.( dot number: Tire size: 21565T16mn )

We have only owned this vehicle for one and a half years for these safety issues to arise leads us to believe there has been more problems with the vehicle than we are aware of. Also in checking other complaints the safety issues seem to be similar to others that have been posted.no safety defec(s) listed in summary.

While driving the van at approximately 45 mph, the transmission simply destroyed itself with no prior warning. Upon inspection by a qualified repair shop, the transmission was deemed beyond repair. It had to be replaced at a cost of $1,600. The repair shop is an authorized repair shop for Chrysler through our local car dealer-thornton Chrysler Dodge in florence, Alabama. I contacted their warranty manager about a claim as they van had 73,000 miles. At the original time of purchase, I had purchased an extended warranty package for 7 year/70,000 miles. He made it very clear that they would not touch this issue as the van was 3,000 miles over warranty. He also made it clear that they would not have covered the claim if the van had 70,500 miles on it. I was very dissatisfied to say the least. Since that time, I have come across a number of people who have had similar failures on Chrysler vehicles. I am writing this to you today as a result of reading the October 1999 consumer reports which further supports my claim that this was a premature failure of a major component and also a reoccurring failure of which Chrysler should be responsible. My wife and children were in the van at the time and are very fortunate to have been on a rural highway as opposed to the interstate or in busy traffice at the time of failure. If this complaint should be addressed elsewhere, please let me know by phone or E-mail if at all possible. Thank you for your help. Sincerely, terry thomas
