Sometime overnight on Jan 1/2nd 2019 my vehicle started on fire. The vehicle was not in use, was parked in our driveway, and had not been in use since the morning before. The fire must have went out on its own. But caused damage to both the inside and outside of the vehicle. The inside of the van smells heavily of electrical smoke.

The welding on the left strut that holds open the liftgate failed. When the liftgate is opened, it momentarily stayed in the upright position before smashing down hard. The safety feature usually in place where anything in the way causes it to go back up failed as well. First noticed as my 11 year old son was loading things into the back and I heard him scream asking why I closed the trunk on him"?" I had to lift it off of him and use a ladder to hold it open. A body shop replaced the struts and welded the new one in place since the welding component that failed was inside the liftgate, so a $2,000+ repair. Welding was accomplished for $500.

I was coming out of the joined driveway at my in laws house when I came to a blind curve I saw the front part of the plow coming in at me. I then started braking and sliding on the ice and snow. It looked as if he was backing a little so I let off brakes and then saw he started coming forward again I brake again and we collided.

We have a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country that was idling in park while we were helping a neighbor. After about a minute or two, our car jumped into reverse and accelerated up the driveway smashing into my neighbors garage. There were 8 witness to see this unbelievable event occur. Our neighbor has a long driveway of approximately 30 feet, and our car was parked at the end of the driveway. The car was actually gaining speed while heading towards their garage before slamming into their brick facia on the garage. I contacted our insurance, and then Chrysler who only said sorry this happened. Currently working with the dealership to have the vehicle tested on why this occurred, in addition to getting all the damage repaired.

While driving on highway at 55mph, drivers side rear power operated sliding door started to open. Infant children in back seats, secured with seat belts in car seats. Pulled over, stopped, and door reclosed electrically on it's own. Started up and drove approximately 1/8 mile and door started to open again. Pulled over, and door closed on it's own. Tried to reopen with outside handle, and seemed to be locked. Then after driving 10-15 miles and exiting vehicle, door would not open electrically. Reported condition to local Chrysler dealer, arranged for service and wiring harness on door replaced under warranty. (vehicle 36 month warranty just expired same day as event).
