I had bought a 2013 Town and Country from an authorized dealer. The vehicle had 11,185 miles so I assumed it was a steal for $20k. 4 months of owning the vehicle, it wouldn't start. I replaced the battery, fuel pump and ETC. All costing me well over $1500 plus a lot of time and inconvenience. After eliminating all other options, the TIPM needed to be replaced after an expensive diagnostic test.

This is suppose to be an affordable van, so mostly likely the person that is purchasing the vehicle has children and on a fix income. It's sad to know that the company knows there is an issue with the TIPM on these vehicles and they have fought their way not to recall it. This has affected me financially and has added a lot of burden to me and my family. As a mother of 5 kids I don't wish this on no one nor do I recommend them to buy this vehicle. I'm completely displeased and disgusted on how they managed to not take responsibility for their product. Honestly, I would never buy another DODGE vehicle. This it not due to the issue because recalls can happen at any moment but for them not taking responsibility for the defect on their vehicle.

Had the car 3 years, less than 35K miles on it and the TPIM went. Since Chrysler is the ONLY one that makes the module, not only was it difficult for my mechanic to locate, I had to pay an unbelievably exorbitant amount of money to have it fixed. A car with less than 35K miles should not require this costly of a repair! Will not buy Chrysler/Dodge again! Their bad reputation is very well deserved. The van handles like crap in the snow and they can't even last 5 years with out a major malfunction. Never had a problem like this with Ford!!

ABS light is on and Cruise Control does not work. Replaced ABS controller, but no change. Looks like TIPM lost communication with the ABS controller. Could be in wiring or inside TIPM. Since TIPMs are notorious for bad solder, I plan to inspect it when I get disgusted enough.

TIPM faulty

My windshield wipers unexpectedly started without warning. Then all of the lights on the dash lit up without warning. The a/c would turn on and off. I had to remove the fuse for the wipers so they would stop. I then took my town and country to the dealership to be fixed. My TIPM was replaced for $1200. That was Thursday. Today, Saturday, the same problem began again!!!!!!!!!! Now what??? I will never buy another Chrysler vehicle again.

Our van started by dying overnight. My wife went out to go to work in the morning and it wouldn't start. She jumped it and everything seemed fine. It was fine for a couple days, then after work one day it left her and my kids stranded in the could and would not start. We checked the battery and one place said it was good and another place said it was bad. We went ahead and replaced it. The new battery died in about two days. We had the charging system checked, and it was fine. I ended up inspecting the entire electrical system and found a parasitic draw that could only be alleviated by pulling the main 60 Amp fuse. That is when I learned about all the TIPM problems with these Chrysler products. We upgraded to this newer, low mileage, van to avoid these problems! Now I have a huge payment and a huge repair bill!!!!!!!! Chrysler needs to step up and take responsibility for this. This is the third one of these vans I have owned and never had a problem like this. Of course the older ones were not made by FIAT. Fix It Again, Tony.

Power Locks and rear window wiper stopped working. Upon taking into dealer, I was told problem was faulty TIPM module. Upon investigation found out that this is major problem with several Chrysler models with repairs costing approx. $1200. Chrysler was forced to recall several models but not all with these faulty parts.
