rust/corrosion bubbles in paint rust/corrosion bubbles in paint rust/corrosion bubbles in paint rust/corrosion bubbles in paint

We purchased a used 2016 Town and Country from West Herr dealership on Ridge Road, in Rochester, NY in 2017. At time it was in great shape and had only 37000 miles on it. Within a year it had developed some corrosion bubbles under the hood, and at this point has 10+ areas affected (hard to count since many are adjacent). This is unacceptable since car only has 46,000 miles now and clearly is due to a defect in manufacture since it seems to only have affected the hood. I fully expect the paint itself to start flaking off, prior to hitting 55,000 miles and for this car to look awful in future. I am hopeful that this is something Chrysler will fix under warranty since it is totally unacceptable and does not have me thinking of buying a Chrysler in future.

Update from Jan 3, 2021: The dealership setup an appointment and agreed it was a manufacturing defect. They said it was caused by a design flaw/change, in that the hood metal is a different metal than other parts of the car and thus collects rust. They setup a repaint appointment, which had to wait a few months but once we got it in they fixed it fully under warranty. So if you have this problem - contact the dealer and they should work with you on a repair.

We purchased this vehicle pre-owned in July, 2017, from Szott Chrysler with approximately 35,000 miles. It's been 1 year and 12,000 miles and much to our surprise and dismay, we have eight (8) corrosion bubbles on the edge of the hood. This is unacceptable. Our family has planned to have this van for 6 years while our children are playing sports in school but it will be a rusted mess worth nothing by then. This is the 3rd Chrysler van and fifth Chrysler vehicle we've purchased and unless this issue is rectified, you will lose my business. Fix and repaint or replace. Contact me. Pictures attached with mileage and vin.
