Avenger SXT 4 CYL

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,738 miles

So yet another electrical issue with my Avenger....Wednesday afternoon while out shopping my 4 yr old daughter and I were listening and singing along to music until the radio power went out. At that time I also noticed once again my odometer flashing numbers really fast. I got to my destination and turned off the car, removed the key and proceeded to exit the car. However the damn door would not unlock which is very strange considering when you grab the handle to open door it unlocks all 4 doors at once. But not this time, this time I was literally stuck inside my car. I continuously turned the car on and off and tried driving around the parking lot to trigger the speed that locks the doors in hope that this may help release the locks but no luck. I tried pushing the lock buttons on the door panel and even on the key remote but neither worked. I even had passed my key through the window to someone to see if the could unlock my door or the passenger door with the key, that didn't even work. So there we were my 4 yr old in her car seat and me both stuck in the car. We remained stuck inside my car for and hour and a half at which point all the sudden the doors unlocked. But the radio still had no power at all and my odometer said no fuse like it had flashed in a prior electrical complaint from August. Later that night at about 6:30 pm the radio power came back on and odometer went back to normal. What is going on I don't know, But the car is going into the dealership this coming Tuesday. But after reading through my warranty, an electrical issue is not covered. Woohoo :(

Please feel free to read my prior complaints as they do vary a bit, but still electrical issues. I am contacting Consumer Affairs Advocacy Group for Missouri Attorney General and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration to make formal complaints so Dodge and manufacturers are aware of the issues and hopefully they can recall this stuff.
