Avenger ES 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 49,000 miles

I bought the car for my daughter so every time she goes to stop at a light or stop sign the alarm starts chiming and the brake light comes on. I finally pulled the emergency brake up to see if it would go off and it didn't. So she drove it and it finally went off on it's own. It doesn't have a lot of miles so just want to know if anyone else has found out how to fix it? Every time I try to get it fix it goes off and the person never gets to see it when it happens.

My brake light has come on 5 times at this point. My dealer has been unable to verify at this point so I feel they are throwing parts at it. Same part twice in fact! It only comes on under certain circumstance, but they refuse to listen to me. I even offered to pay for extra diag time if that helped. Brake fluid level is always fine.

I have brought my car to get looked at several times for the brake light randomly coming on to only get jerked around being told I have to come in while it is still on in order for them to find a problem. It doesn't stay on for more than a few minutes at a time. When my brakes fail they will have a law suit
