Caliber 2.0L

While drive at 50 mph the head lights went out, both high and low, this was a problem since it was 9 o'clock at night in the middle of a snow storm and it was my wife and 4 year old nephew in the car alone. They will not come on now and both bulbs are good. no warning lights. Stay away from this vehicle type it is a TIPM problem.

After finding out my passenger side head light wasn't working I purchased a new one and had it installed. This did not fix the problem. Looking at original bulb it appears to be in good condition. So that was a waste of time and money. It's very frustrating that I can not drive before dawn or at dusk. I have been told it is the TIMP and that it needs to be replaced. I am a 63 year old women on disability medicare, the cost of of the light bulb was out of my reach, I sure can't afford $500-$700 for a repair that the manufacture should be recalling. I and so many others have problems with the design of the TIMP. Electronic parts that are not shielded from moisture and wetness is surely not good idea.

First passenger side headlight went out so replaced bulb however this did not fix problem. Then driver side headlight quit working. Changed bulb on driver side and it worked for approx one week. Now neither side headlights are working on low beam. They only work high beam which of course is not safe for so many reasons. My mechanic says IF it is TIPM it will cost approx $900 to fix - and he is making me a deal. Don't know yet if it TIPM because I don't have money to fix and not sure I want to. This car is POS and I am not sure I want to put any money into it. Radio not working (not the fuse) and also ck engine light keeps going on and then off at random times. Probably will drive it til the headlights quit working and then push it over cliff.

I bought this car in 2012 at about 87,000 miles. A couple years later problem after problem ensued with the car. I have had to replace all four cylinders, replace the water pump because of constant overheating, the control arms went bad, and my headlight went out. Being a working college student I could not shoulder the daunting cost of having it fixed as I was told that it would cost anywhere in the upwards of $1000.

The car has also had various electrical issues my light go out, the horn stopped working a few weeks ago and my front passenger window will not go up. I have replaced the battery twice already but to no avail. I love my car but to be completely honesty I don't really want to deal with these issues. It's only an 8 year old car but it has SO many issues. The worst thing? The transaxle fluid light coming on when I'm driving at about 65-68 for long distances. Then the car just slows down until it stops completely and I have to wait for it to cool for me to get back on the road again. Ridiculous!

Dodge needs to recall the entire thing altogether for all these design faults as I'm sure am not the only one dealing with them. PS I'm shocked that the TIPM failure has not gotten to be a big enough problem to merit a recall.

My left headlight stopped working. I took vehicle to Gurnee Dodge, extended warranty did not cover cost. Tipm module was what I was told was the problem. I have read a lot about Dodge and Chryslers having this problem I think there should be a recall.

My drivers headlight has stopped working!!!!!

My dad has taken the fender off to get at the wiring and when he puts a tester to the wires they show power. He replaced the actual plug to the light bulb but it does not turn on. Can someone please tell me what I need to do (other than take it to a dealer) so I can have working headlights again?

I was told that there are plugs running to the fuse box and to remove the fuse box and check...does this sound accurate?
