Over a period of 4 months, my vehicle stalled on the highway at 55 mph on 3 separate occasions. On each occasion I took the car to a Dodge dealership for repair. After the third visit the fuel pump was found defective and replaced. Coincidentally my last minivan, a Plymouth Voyager, also needed a new fuel pump at 18000 miles! after notification from Chrysler re: Fuel pump module seal recall I called the service manager ( charlie) at hanover Dodge, 880 Washington St, hanover MA. 02339 tel 781-829-9200. He said I should expect a refund from Chrysler. Chrysler has denied my request for reimbursment.at.

Problem with getting a manufacturer's recall concerning fuel pump honored. No accessible authorized dealer. Contacted dealer in anchorage, and informed consumer to fill tank with fuel. However, if vehicle showed no sign of leakages, not to worry about it. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter.

Fuel was leaking from the bolt which had either loosened up or was not tight enough. Was told by dealer that the torque setting was not adequate. Manufacturer suggested to increase torque specifications. Had the vehicle towed back to the dealer on 13-Mar-2000.

When he applied brakes, the car kept moving. The vehicle cut off in the middle of highway traffic going 55 mph due to a faulty fuel pump which the manufacturer replaced. 15 months later fuel began to leak from underneath the vehicle causing fire while the customer was driving.

We purchased vehicles through state bid process. I sent E-mail to all 100 counties in North Carolina.a very high percentage of fuel pumps are failing at 20 K - 40K miles. I will ask the other county directors to also send their comments. I have replaced 4 fuel pumps this year at a cost of 500. Per replacement.

The vehicle has died four times at higway speed leaving the vehicle without steeringand brakes. The dealer is unable to reproduce the defect and guesses that the vehicle has a problem with the fuel pump. The problem started at 38K or right out of the warranty and they do not know what has caused it. I have a two year old boy and have had him with me when it broke down inthe the winter. Chrysler says their records are proprietary and will not tell me if they have had problems with their fuel pumps.
