Consumer smelled gasoline caused by gas leaking from the top of the gas tank which was plastic and not sealed properly.

Seal at the top of the gas tank failed, causing leakage. Also on another occasion a clip at the fuel filter broke, disconnecting the gas line, causing vehicle to experience failure.

When son was fueling the van, he pulled nozzle out of the fueltank while the fuel pump was still running. This caused the back end of the van to catch on fire and burn up. Owner not sure if the van will be totalled.

After the recall item was repaired, owner experienced battery and computer related failures.
