Caravan Sport 3.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 114,000 miles

Headlight switch has gone out twice in the past year. Poor design and VERY dangerous. Headlights went out while driving down a very narrow highway......NOT A VERY FUN THING TO HAPPEN. Intermittent wind sheild wiper switch went out. Both the front window switches have failed / worked / failed and now have stopped working. Had to replace the starter TWICE. A/C pump has stopped working and it looks like it is the clutch. Radio has stopped working and goes in and out when close to a tower. Was told by the dealer that it is the pre-amp. Can't find a darn thing about a "Pre-Amp. All this has happened at or about when it turn over to 114,000 miles. It's like it was built in to the car ? ? ? ABS light is on but can't find anything wrong??? Engine Light came on and can't find anything wrong. VALVE covers started leaking oil. Tried to tighten them down...Ha...Can't. Have to replace them.

The back one is about 2 hours away and will cost $600 to have it replaced. This van I love to drive but, it is a bunch of poorly designed parts. Who would ever think you should have to take the entire intake manifold system off to change a valve cover gasket??? DAAAaaa. Want to sell the car but if I pay for all the repairs I would have to ask $7000 for it. And who would buy it for that?? D and C have built a piece of junk that didn't last. I have a old 1974 Porsche that I have never had any problems like this with.
