Caravan Anniversary Edition 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 117,887 miles

Re: A/C failure, clutch, compressor and pulley/rotor seize on A/C unit. Smelt a burning mechanical or maybe rubber smell initially. Made a groaning sound a few shut offs and restarts later, a/c quit. Used WD40 to un-seize pulley. Later a hammer at points to further free it up until it is replaced. Might by oem re-manufactured replacement to save on a new one. Seems like other people have had similar problem(s)...

Caravan SXT 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Compressor failed, replaced it myself. No reason for it to go bad except it did not have enough oil in the system to start with.
