air bags did not deploy in collision air bags did not deploy in collision

I was sitting at a red light at a major intersection. I got the green light and proceded thought the intersection. A car traveling in cross direction did not heed the red light and colided with me. He hit me, I am guessing, as his speed limit was 45mph, at least 30mph, in the drivers side front fender area. My tire was smashed in at 40 degree angel. The other car bounced back 6-8 feet. I was turned approximately 45 degree angel.

My complaint is NONE of my air bags went off. I had 3 kids with me too. I bought the Carvan for its 5 star crash rating. I was told by tow truck driver, he "missed" the air bag sensors when he hit me. (Yes we are all ok, just real sore.)Take a look. Should my air bags gone off or not?
