High speed/acceleration/and casual speed stalling. Freeway speed causes stalling/buckling hesitation, the engine light will go on, and the car will continue to reduce speed until it is stopped/off. After a short time (up to two days), the engine light will go off before I get to the service center, which leads to the dealership telling me "if we cannot re- create the problem, then we cannot fix it." The problem has happened over 10 times, and has now progressed to happened with a casual/ or isle speed as well. The level of severity has also increased as well as the time frame of the stalling

I purchased my 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T 6 speed manual transmission on January 6th 2014. This was my dream car and I never thought I could afford one. So it saddens me to have to go to this extreme to get some involvement on a issue that is being ignored. My first service was on February 11th.I took the car in because of engine noise. The dealer replaced the catalytic converter thinking that was the noise. On May 31st at 5,000 miles the dealer replaced the lifters on the car. These did not solve the issue and it was getting louder. You can hear it inside the car while driving. I took the car to another dealer at around 10,000 miles with the same noise complaint on November 8th. I called Dodge customer service after no resolution. They referred me back to the dealer to do a diagnosis on the car. I picked the car back up on November 11th and the dealer informed me that this noise is and I quote "agree that noise is louder than a 15 model but noise is still there in a 15 model. Common noise that differ slightly from vehicle to vehicle. Reviewed tsb and star case. Lifters had been changed by another dealership. Conducted procedure in star case [xxx] and inspected components for failures listed in star case [xxx]. contacted star and there reply was slight valve train noise/clatter is characteristic of hemis. If like vehicle has comparable noise level no repair to perform. Noise may increase slightly with mileage. I have been back to the dealer recently to have this looked into again with no luck. There are 60+ of this issue documented with VIN #S on a forum which I am a member of and we all would be more than happy to provide information for. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

My 2014 Challenger R/T has had a bad ticking valve train since about new. The ticking, clipping, sewing machine noise is on the passenger side, it's loud and clearly heard in the cab at around 1500rpm and up. Star case tab removal was performed, no good.next lifters and mds solenoids was replaced still no good. Now along with the ticking noise I have loud spark knock in mds mode on passenger side. Have burnt oil smell after attempted repairs. Dealer and Dodge rep says all is normal. Why was all these repairs attempted to fix my engine now all of a sudden it's all normal" what's normal about loud ticking valve train that can be heard in the cab, loud spark knock and burning oil smell? it's not, they want me to go away! well I'm not! I qualify for lemon law but just want my car repaired. Isn't that what a warranty is for" come on Dodge step up and repair my engine! give me what I paid for! don't treat your customers like dirt!

Brand new car delivered had a ticking sound only while driving at aprox 1800 RPM's and above.. complained to dealer and was told "normal" for new car until engine break-in. Weeks later star case [xxx] performed on car to remove tabs left on lifters at engine assembly. Tabs removed, no relief from ticking. Chrysler rep authorized dealer to change regular oil to srt penzoil 0W40 full synthetic with cost being billed to Chrysler for next 5 years. Ticking is still heard inside vehicle while driving. Dealer refuses to service car for "ticking" engine. I was told Dodge would not pay for their time to check the car. I took car out of state to another dealer who was not able to repair ticking per Dodge. This is not the hemi tick. Some customers are getting their cars repaired, others are being brushed off as "normal". some have had engines replaced and another has had his vehicle replaced. If this is "normal" why aren't all 5.7 engines doing this" they're not! it is extremely annoying to listen to the tickatickaticka constantly while driving. It is embarrassing to have passenger's hear the ticking. I have gathered about 60 other hemi 5.7 owners together all with the same problem. Why won't Chrysler/Dodge fix our cars? an email from Chrysler stated " "to review of our records indicates that the condition in question is a function of your vehicle's design and is not a defect in materials, workmanship, manufacturing, or factory preparation. These are the only types of defects covered under the new vehicle limited warranties." What they are telling me is that they knew this problem existed and it's a function of my vehicle's design" there is nothing in any documents I have that state this car will tick as it does. I would not have purchased this vehicle if ticking was part of the car's design. Fix it Chrysler!!!!!

The car has a whine which comes and goes as the car hits and maintains a cruising speed. Took to dealer several times and they have stated that it is a normal condition. Also car has a hesitation upon start from a stop and has ticking from the engine bay. Ticking was called "normal" by dealer. Am now working with Dodge directly to no avail to have issues resolved.

My 'oil change recommended' light comes on at start up and goes off. After I received the oil change this morning the light never went off, I saw the mechanic at the dealership for this problem he will fix it first thing in the morning. He did inform me he just repaired the same problem for two Challengers this week. I've only had my vehicle 7 1/2 months.

5 days after purchasing a brand new Challenger, while on the way to work the engine light came on and about 2 minutes after the car shut off while in the carpool lane going bout 63 miles/hr. The car was reading about 200 miles to empty. The fuel sensors /pumps were not working and had to be replaced. At idle it runs rough, was compared to like vehicle the idle is not correct. The mileage per gallon is way under the advertised. Advertised fuel economy showing 21 mpg combined city/hwy. We get about 16 mpg city/hwy. We had nothing but trouble since we purchased the vehicle and no one is taking responsibility for the issues as the car seems to be a lemon. We had it in the shop 4 times now. We purchased a brand new car so that we wouldn't have issues. Very upset, frustrated, unhappy.
