Challenger SXT Plus 3.6L V6 8 Speed

  • Automatic transmission
  • 300 miles

I purchased this new 2015 Challenger at the end of October. It was the first time owning a vehicle with a sunroof, so I was pretty excited to use it in the summer time. Well I live in the northwest where there is a lot of rain during the winter. So after I pulled my vehicle into the garage, I could feel moisture in the back of the sunroof inside the vehicle after it rained. I immediately took it down to the dealership to get it looked at. They said they were going to replace the sunroof. So after they had my Challenger for three days and replaced the sunroof, I finally got it back. Excited to finally have my new car back, it was raining on the way home from work. Sure enough, I reached back under the sunroof and noticed moisture coming in again. I was frustrated and brought it back to the dealer. They decided to change out the mechanism that opens and closes the sunroof this time, so they kept it for most of the week. I finally got my beautiful black Challenger back praying that it was finally fixed, but unfortunately it still leaked. These technicians could not figure it out. So after about 3 weeks of my car being in the shop (dealership), the Head technician told me that "all" sun roofs leak and they couldn't help me. I tried to put in a complaint to there corporate office, but they said they stand behind there Technicians statement. I have read through many forums and dealership websites and have come to the conclusion that Sun roofs that use high quality parts do "Not" leak! This is a brand new Vehicle. I drove this car a week out of the first month that I owned it and I was pissed.....wait I still am! I also found that dodge and Chrysler had a class action lawsuit on leaking sunroofs from I believe 2006-2013. Now I am dealing with a transmission issue that they cannot figure out. I have never had this many issues with a new vehicle before in my life. I really love look and feel of this car, but so far it hasn't been the greatest of experiences. Hopefully I can find others with the same issues I am having.
