First of all the customer service at the local dealership! SUCKS! When you called them (It's a CALL CENTER), and they transfer where no one ever picks up.

My problem occurred on 8/6/2014. My car was driving in battery mode (which is not listed in the manual by the way). So, I called the Dodge Chrysler customer service to find out what was going on. Only thing they advise was take to the dealer. Now remind you I have only had this car for one year and I am the second owner. I have kept up all my oil changes and regular maintenance required for mileage, but all of sudden the freaking ALTERNATOR goes out on a 2012 DODGE CHARGER. Of course this does not sound right. So, I get a call back from the local dealership and they advise me that it will be $655 plus diagnostic. I have been advised by the dealership as well as the Dodge Chrysler they can not assist with cost due to decline matrix and the history of the vehicle. I have gotten nothing but BS from everyone in regards to the so called case no. they gave me. Also, I was told they are not allowed to give out headquarters numbers or information or address. I guess they think they are messing with a fool. That is why we have internet search engines. I planned on taking this matter up.

I have electric issues, airbag issues, and more since I got this vehicle. It sure does look like I need to TRADE THE DAMN THING. PISSED OFF IS underestimated word to describe how I feel. Tried to give the folks the benefit of the doubt. NICE OUTSIDE LOOK (THEY LURE YOU IN WITH THE SPORTS LOOK), BUT UNDER THE HOOD IS FULL OF BOVINE SOCIOLOGY.

We have had problems with the electrical system sense January 2014 in our 2012 Charger. yesterday my wife had the battery safe mode light come on. Today I was driving it to Gerry Wood in Salisbury, NC. when the car cut off going down the road. We had it towed in and the manager called us later and said it would be $950.00. he said that the alternator had a internal short that also shorted the battery out. We called Chrysler Corp. and they were very helpful. They gave us a case number and called Gerry Wood and found out about all the complaints we have had, they picked up all but $100.00 of the cost. I was having serious concerns about owning a Dodge product. But, Chrysler Corp. done a great job and we also get the car back tomorrow before lunch. Hat off to Chrysler Corp but not to Gerry Wood.
