Charger SXT Plus 3.6L V6 Pentastar

  • Automatic transmission
  • 7,643 miles

Since about 2 months into owning this 2014 Dodge Charger SXT Plus W/Blacktop Package: 3.6 Litre V6 8 speed Automatic Pentastar. It started squeaking: I assumed like most vehicles there was dust in the brake drums and asked the shop to spray compressed air on them or something. But they "could not duplicate" my concern.

So months down the road it's worse! Take it into a different service Centre. Didn't make the noise again while it was there! New vehicles should not make old vehicle noise's. I'm convinced now that it's not the brake system, the noise doesn't seem related to the brakes. The squeaking/squealing seems to come out when it's just coasting, however it doesn't go away if you give it more throttle/brake or gas. It seems like a random loose part or even a loose lug nut to me. It's loud and obnoxious, and it sometimes lasts hours! But as random as the sound shows up, it just as randomly will stop. Wet/Dry there's no "obvious" cause to the beginning or end to the sound. But it's bad enough I'm not enjoying the vehicle anymore. I wish it would squeak while it's in the shop so we can determine the cause?! But I can't drive 60 minutes out of town to the dealership once a day to have it stop when I get there. Very frustrating situation. Anyone else experiencing squeaking issues with there chargers?

Update from Apr 18, 2015: Probably should have listed this under "suspension" as I see a similar complaint. Intermittent squeak in front end.

Update from Sep 9, 2015: This intermittent noise has not stopped. It continually gets worse and more frequent! I brought it to the dealership on September 08th for the 5th time trying to duplicate this concern, on September 09th @ 10 AM I had the vehicle returned with no Luck again. At 1:15 PM the same day it starts! I'm very dissapointed in this vehicle. Brand new vehicles shouldn't make noise like crappy old ones, why is it that I have to deal with this issue every day but it coincidentally stops every time it's in the shop. At times it sounds like a loose lug nut, at it's worst people are trying to flag me down. Today the transmission was shifting poorly while the noise was happening. Who knows???!!!
