Developed a clunk in the right front suspension. Dealer replaced the RF strut and sway bar bushings. The problem is not fixed. Internet research indicates this is a known condition on the LD platforms. Sounds like ball joints, but who knows.

Started hearing a loud banging noise from the rear suspension area, even when riding on smooth road. Was experiencing a fair amount of shaking as well when the road was rougher. Called the dealership for an appointment, they would not give me an appointment earlier than 5 weeks away. Since I didn't know what the issue was, and it was getting worse very quickly (2-3 days from nothing to constant banging and shaking), I took it to a NAPA shop for diagnosis. They were able to determine that one of the rear shocks had failed. Dodge refused to cover the diagnosis under warranty, refused to pay for the NAPA shop to repair it, and refused to give me an earlier appointment so the car would be driveable again. I paid the NAPA shop to replace the shock, because f*ck them.

So in May 2019 I started to hear a clunking/banging noise from the rear end. Made an appointment with dealer and they found a screw in front tire and said it may be an echo from screw hitting the concrete. Took it to the tire shop and fixed the tire. The noise still there I went back to dealer and they decided it maybe the reinforcement tunnel so I had then change the reinforcement tunnel. The noise still there I brought it back and they said there is nothing mechanically wrong that they could see but it could be the shocks. By this time I am frustrated and took the car and brought it somewhere else to change shocks. The noise still there I thought well if nothing seems to be noticeable I guess it will be fine. Well a year of hearing this noise has been annoying so I decided to try again I went to the dealer and they again want me to pay $140 to diagnose it when they couldn’t figure it out the first time so I went to a different dealer and was recommended to change fluid in the rear differential so I did. The noise still there. I have contacted dodge corporate and all they say is to bring to dealer and have them find what’s wrong but the thing is they can’t figure it out. Dodge needs to figure out what is wrong because I have read a lot of people having the same issue without a fix and to have a nice car that sounds like crap sucks for the money it costs to buy the car. I always wanted a Dodge Charger and in 2014 I finally bought one but now I wish I would have bought something else because this car sounds like crap when pulling into parking lots or slowly down the street.
