problem #1

Dec 082017

Charger SE 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

This has been an ongoing issue with my car. The first time I started it, went to back out, and it shifted out of reverse into neutral without me shifting, and then when I put it in park I heard a popping sound coming from the shifter, then bam. it just went black. couldn't shift or anything. Dashboard lights started going crazy with service shifter messages, service power steering, service traction control, the whole nine yards. Took it to star dodge in Abilene and they replaced the shifter. 1,000 in costs at the end. Get it back and not even a day later the same thing happens.

Take it back once more to where they "Fix" the issue and blame the mishap on my subs (mind you my subs are nowhere near wired through my car) Car worked fine for 2 weeks, then December 8th I was driving to work, and I came to a stop and my shifter started acting up again. When I would come to a stop the car would be trying to move forward. I start to drive and get up to normal speed and the whole electrical system goes out. The car is still running but I have no power steering, the brakes barely work, and I cannot shift. This could have killed me. I get it pulled over and have it towed to this dealership again and now I'm waiting on answers from them with whats happening with my car.
