I purchased my Dodge Dart at 21,000 miles. 30,000 miles car shuts off on highway. Total power loss. Dodge was able to limit the problem however ran rough and at about 45000 miles car shifted hard now at 70000 Dodge tells me it's the transmission valve body. 3,000 dollar repair. At this point car is not worth 3000. Still shuts off completely while driving. Transmission control module is recalled for the 2013 Dart however not my VIN# "???" I see tons of people with the same issues even cases against Dodge for this model. However they are unwilling to help me out with any issues I bring to their attention. Unfortunate. For me.

Took my vehicle in to have the shifter cable replace due to a current recall. My car would not come out of park because of this, the dealership said that it was fixed but a day later it happened again. I took it back and they had it a day and a half, they finally called to tell me that now my transmission shifter solenoid was bad and that it would be $800 to fix. I took the car immediately to another mechanic because the dealership said that it wasn't part of the recall and I didn't want to pay that amount if I didn't have to. The other mechanic told me to take it back to the dealership after he looked at it because more than likely they caused the damage when they were replacing the bushing. I called and spoke to the manager and he told me that the tech said they didn't damage it and that the recall was all they were told to fix and that they weren't told to fix the issue with the car not coming out of park. I have the paper work that states why the car was there and it states that, that was the reason I brought it in. I've never had so much trouble with a car before. Dodge should have never sold these vehicles. In 2015 they had to replace my entire transmission due to a recall and my vehicle randomly stopping while driving. This vehicle is extremely unsafe. The cruise control has worked intermittently since I bought it new in 2013 and I took back and they said it was fine. My check engine light comes on every other time I get gas telling me that there's a problem with the cap which there isn't, I had it checked.

I took my car in for a recall and as of May 13th I'm still without my vehicle and still having to make the payment plus insurance. I don't know when I will get my car but it has been in the shop enough times I filed for a breech of warranty but Chrysler only offered me 4000 take away the 2000 for attorney fees so 2000 is what I would have walked away with. I did not accept the offer and now I'm trying to figure out what to do. My car doesn't have a remedy for the issue but it's had transmission problems since day 1 had new engine new turbo new starter new gaskets new radiator and much more and nothing has been because of neglect. I truly feel I have a lemon on my hands and need help getting into a safe car. The dealership won't do anything about it told me to get a lawyer so I did but unless we agreed on an amount they wouldn't proceed. My car is unsafe to drive and I'm trying to get a lawyer that can take care of this or help me get a safer car for me and my kids. Consumer stated PCM/tcm has been a recall in the past engine light being on is code P2096 which caused leak in one of the hoses.

Vehicle stalls when driving. Randomly stalls even when attempting to break. Can increase the likelihood of a car accident occurring. Makes it difficult to go faster because then car stalls a lot and causes break light to flash on and off. This mainly happens when the car is on drive although sometimes the car can feel jittery when being on park.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle began to hesitate without warning. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19V293000 (power train). The contact stated that cummins Chrysler (located at 4901 E main St, weatherford, ok 73096, (580) 772-5086) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and stated that the part was not available for the repair. The failure mileage was 76,208. Parts distribution disconnect. Consumer stated I just heard from the dealership about my car the part that was ordered came in mail and was already broke and the part that the previous dealership had put in was also broke as well. So I'm not sure if this part that is for the transmission is just that fragile that it cant even make it through the shipping process but I wanted to make aware that the part must have some kind of defect for it being the 3rd one and this last one was never even put on my car as it came in the mail already broke. Consumer stated there was transmission issues at least 16 times.

The hydraulic shift actuator will fail - oftentimes/seemingly in the heat & sun after prolonged exposure. This causes the vehicle to a. if it is not driving, you will get the "service transmission error" and the vehicle will not turn on; B. if you are driving, shifting becomes dangerous and erratic. Note: This isn't covered under your warranty because it has likely expired. If you have a third party warranty, you will need to "prove the failure". with that being said, this appears to happen towards the afternoon/evening in my case (when it's the hottest and has sat in the sun all day). It has shifted erratically on me multiple over the last few weeks - I am highly suspect that this part may become a future recall part. My vehicle is under 47,000 miles, so this should not be an issue. Considering other transmission problems, I would be aware. It has almost caused multiple accidents for me (I have a clean mvr). The erratic shifting will happen at all speeds.

This is for recall V34. Which was issued early in the year. My wife was driving down the highway, 1 near robinson Illinois to be exact and the car just stopped driving forcing her to steer onto the side of a very busy highway! this could have been very bad!!!! I find it insane that Chrysler is dragging their feet on this part! my wife could have been killed!!!!! not too mention if my daughter and I were in the car when this happened. Chrysler knows this part and these cars are unsafe but are not willing to do anything about it! on top of everything you want me to dish out the money to put another recalled part on my car, no thanks!! do something about this.
