I have taken this vehicle into elk grove Dodge 4 times for the transmission safety recall. Each time the transmission goes out. June 15, 2018 was the last time the transmission went out. Elk grove Dodge replaced the transmission.with approximately 59,893 miles on the car. Approximately 1.5 months ago 6 months later I was on the free way and all of a sudden the vehicle jumped out of gear and went into neutral. I then lost power to the engine and almost crashed into the center divide. I contacted elk grove Dodge when I finally got home with the vehicle. The service manager advised me that they were not going to honor their warranty even if it was under safety recall. I contacted Dodge resolutions dept. Spoke to a guy by the name of chance. This guy is taking his dear sweet time in helping me. This vehicle is a lemon and Chrysler is starting to refuse to do anything about this problem.

While driving on the highway and on city streets, the dash board lights went out and the needles for the speed and RPM went all the way to the bottom like the car was cut off. The car was still in motion. The dashboard said service electrical breaking system and the engine light eluminated. It did this more than one time. It will flicker the warning on the dashboard and then at one point the car cut off while on city streets. At another time when the message flickered on the dashboard the battery light came on. This has happened multiple times and I am concerned about my safety in this car as well as my children. The radio cut off and the eventually cut back on.

While driving on the mountain roads to driving on the freeway to driving any where my turbo cuts off and I lose almost all power causing me to loose power going up a steep hill and almost get rear ended at least 3 times. Further more when I'm getting ready to merge onto the freeway and it cuts out causing me to almost be hit by truckers. I want to know why there hasn't been a total lemon law for 2013 Dodge Darts they are not safe to drive for the owner and anyone else on the road. This is a breif summary. There's more details concerning this car that room here doesn't provide. The dual dry clutch shifting failures and hill start assist are addressed here: The car does not immediately move forward when you apply the throttle it can take from 2-4 seconds to go forward when you step on the gas. Not 'turbo lag'. that adds to the time to go forward. Pulling out into traffic or changing lanes can get you killed because it delays throttle response until the computer decides to go. Sometimes turbo, sometimes not at the same throttle position. When coming off the brakes then pressing the throttle, delay and sometimes inappropriate gear selection causes erratic driving behavior. In turns the car comes out of gear on its own with no indication. Step on the gas and the engine revs high in neutral. Now it's coasting through the turn before it will engage in [a] gear. You can seldom 'drive through a turn'. this happens around a normal street corners, and in sweeping turns when you're traveling at 40 mph out of gear. Engaging gears at this point is unpredictable as to which gear the car will select. The 'hill start assist' (hsa) braking program; when stopped pointing uphill, this 'feature' is intended to hold the brakes on for 3 seconds preventing the car from rolling backwards when you move your foot from the brake peddle to the gas peddle. If the hsa fails you have no control over when, or if, the clutch engages into gear. The hsa program in this car randomly fails to hold on a hill. When this happens the ddc also fails to engage in gear. The car totally fails to move forward and rolls backwards revving in neutral toward the cars coming up behind you. You have pressed the gas to go forward and now you're going backward revving in neutral. I now refuse to drive this car. It will sit unused until resolution of this issue. This car needs to be crushed.

Car gets to about 190 degrees and the service transmission message appears and the check engine light comes on and car goes into limp mode and will not come out of first gear. Once car is shut off it will not turn on for about 45 minutes to an hour even after disconnecting the battery. After 45 minutes to an hour car will start and go about 15 miles and then back into limp mode and will not come out of first gear again. This is very hassardist

This has happened about 6 or 7 times. I start my Dart and it will not shift into gear. It the clutch will be all the way to the floor and it still will not shift. It has happened a few times when I was driving. It scared me I was glad I was not on a busy street or going really fast. It is also stalling when I have done nothing to make it stall. It will be running and then nothing. It has been scary when this happens. I drive for work and with out my car I can not earn a living. So I have made it work. I am getting worried that something is wrong with my car.

Operator had witness in car. Witness observed operator to have foot on brake and not on gas. Fca notified due to lack of response to recall on tcm that had been over 18 months. Fca set appointment with dealer. Dealer advised that fca sent engineers to inspect car at dealership. Dealer advised car was being held for multiple days due to issue. Dealer advised this is not a known issue for the make, model and year. Outcome of fca engineer inspection not known at this time....updated 04/20/17

"dode Dart recall" I received a postage a few months ago about a recall for my Dart, everytime I have tried to contact Allstar about the recall they have informed me that the parts have yet to arrive., I have had my car a year and a half. Currently everytime I start my car it is saying service transmission on the dash. On several ocassions the car has automatically went into the neural shift, while driving causing me to completly stop in the middle of traffic!!!!!I have almost been into about 4 accidents because of the glitch with my transmission, the air also will work and blow out hot air on one side. Everytime I stop at a stop sign the car struggles to pull off causing my car to jerk tremendously I am destined to get this issued resolved. Allstar still have not contacted me back about the recall, I need my car fixed asap.

The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V542000 (power train); however, the parts to do the repair were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,554. While driving on a highway going about 75 mph my 2013 Dodge Dart acted up out of nowhere. The car suddenly decreased in speed my entire dashboard lit up, the check engine light and the throttle control light stayed on. Luckily I was very close to an exit and put my flashers on and exited to get to safety. This car has been acting up with day one and continues to impress me with the # of repairs done. There is also something that has baffled about 5 mechanics and is still doing. The clutch keeps on sticking and the car can not be put into gear. Many mechanics and dealerships can not figure out how to fix or what is wrong. I will never buy a chrystler brand again and definitely not recommend.

I have not been notified at all on my recalls. There has been several things I've called my dealership on and I thought it had been fixed not knowing it was a recall. But it is not fixed. My transmission won't let me put car in reverse very easy. My car engine rpms get higher when I approach to stop. It acts like it's not getting enough fuel St times like it cuts out. My bluetooth is hard to connect. My front driver tire has wore out 2 side walls tires but has never went flat but never shows it's very low but it is never the same as others. My car front driver makes a noise like suspension is messed up and it's very rough riding. I no longer get good gas mileage. When I go to park my car it wants to roll aft err being put in park. The breaks are very touchy. Barely graze the pedal and you'll hit the steering wheel. I wanted a new car all my life and after 35 years I was finally able to get one and I'm still in the same position as before. Please help on what to-do considering I've yet to even receive anything about my car having any recall. And I've got 2 kids that I'm raising alone andi'm it says can cause accident why can't I get a replacement car till they get the parts to make my car safe. I'm very unhappy

While accelerating from a stand still on to a freeway or any road with a speed limit above 25 mph is very dangerous in this car. When you step on the accelerator pedal the cars does not respond very fast and takes a few seconds before it actually gets up and moves to a good speed. This issue happens every time you accelerate, this has been an issue since I bought the car. I have had many close calls while merging into traffic.

While driving on the highway in the fast lane, my gas pedal went all the way to the floor and my car lost all acceleration and steering became hard to turn. When this happened most of my car engine lights were blinking and when I placed the car in park the vehicle didn't notice it was in park. Thankfully I was able to get off to the emergency shoulder. I took the car into the dealership where they told me there was a recall notice in August 26th which was just sent out to Dodge Dart owners. The dealership told me it would cost me 1,500-2,000 to fix the problem, money which I do not have so I traded in my car with negative equity, and the dealership, I believe was very non-professional and took advantage of the situation. They also showed me an incorrect nada price chart for the trade-in value to my car.

Vehicle threw an error message on the led dashboard about servicing the transmission. Unable to place car in reverse or drive. After messing with it for a while (shutting vehicle off and turning back on, pausing for a few minutes) the vehicle would finally work again. This seemed to happen during the middle of the year and towards winter with the recall eventually taking place. (2014). I argued with the dealership to provide something for transportation since I had no other options. After arguing and finally getting a rental they offered to pay 3 days. It took them multiple days to look into the issue and they found low transmission fluid. There was a software update to take care of the recall as well. This year almost 6 months since the last incident the same issues are occurring. About two weeks ago I came across the same issues. It took a week to get an appointment with the local dealer and I had to borrow a vehicle since the car has trouble accelerating with these issues. They performed a software update and it seemed to work for a week. Today the engine wouldn't start but the cars computers turned on. After testing different steps the car finally turned on but the acceleration is clunky and doesn't shift appropriately.
