problem #1

Dart LX 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 13,000 miles

My son was driving in the neighborhood at around 7 pm and turned into our subdivision at 15 mph or less when the control arm broke and caused him to land on the curb. This caused major damage to the driver side wheel and under door exterior as well as front and back rim damaged. Control arm was snapped in half. Hard to believe this could happen at low speed. My son definitely was scared but fortunately not injured.

I contacted Dodge, but they insist it is the driver at fault and that they cannot pay for repairs. I am glad the insurance has paid and the car is up and running. What frightens me most is how a car can easily break and the manufacturer blame the customer for it. I hope this becomes a recall. This issue is very dangerous and if it had happened at higher speed it could have been deadly.
