Replaced fuel level sending unit as well as fuel filter/pressure regulator while I was knee deep in it :) you'll end up doing it anyways sooner or later.

(reported on)

Durango SLT 5.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 111,000 miles

The gas gauge tends to read fine when full then as the fuel level goes down the gauge reads at least a half to a quarter tank less that actual. Sometimes you hit bump and it corrects other times stop and turn the ignition off an on and it fixes itself. I suspect the fuel pump assembly is going south. Has anyone done this repair or had this experience?
