My pump is fine but since the unit is all one piece and the Control Module is the issue I have to buy an $820 part and pay them to install and have dodge reset the "brain". There are a lot of these issues being reported on the web and about the 80-90k mile range, definitely a faulty part. But hey that's way dodge only has a 3 year limited warranty, I am paying better attention to that from here on out!!

I've read others beef about the Durango having problems with ABS. I had diagnostic work done and they informed me that the ABS motor was dead. Then they proceeded to tell me that the part alone was $700 and it would cost another $400 to install it!! If all of these vehicles have the same problems then why isnt the manufacturer recalling the parts! I also read that there is a recall on the ball joints of the truck. I plan on taking it to the local Dodge dealership to have them replace that sh*t A.S.A.P. Don't get me wrong I love my truck... but if its gonna turn into one big headache ill just have to get rid of it snd possibly be done with Dodge for good!!!!

The ABS just went dead about 8 months ago! We haven't had the money to replace the ABS as it would cost us over $1,000 to have it all fixed (at least). So, we searched on the internet and found a remanufacturing company that fixes this very problem. If the problem is the ABS Control Panel (it vibrates and makes noise and makes the ABS light come on) then a person can ship the ABS Control Panel to this company and they will remanufactur it for about $150 plus shipping. That's fine and actually better than we expected, but now we have to pay money to get the ABS light reset! That is going to cost us over $80.

ABS and BRAKE lights illuminated. Speedometer still works and AutoZone was unable to read any codes from the vehicle.

The anti-lock brake system just quit woking. I think it quit working when the battery was disconnected when it was shipped overseas. Haven't been able to have it looked at yet.

I would confirm someone else's post on this thread that if your ABS & brake warning lights are on AND the speedometer only works above 20-30mph, your problem is almost definitely the rear differential sensor. It's about $31 at Advance Auto and is fairly easy to replace. Took me about 45 minutes with the back of the car on ramps. You'll need a 13mm wrench, a 9/16" wrench and a flat screwdriver to help pry the old one out. I put some oil on the O-ring of the new one to make it easier to insert. It still required quite a bit of pressure and twisting to seat it properly.
