After getting my car towed because it wouldn't turn over, I just collect my car from the Al Futtaim workshop in Abu Dhabi (Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge. Volvo Dealer). They had it for two days to "investigate" the problem and said they have replaced the fuel pump relay AGAIN.

This morning the same fault happened again. After 20-25 attempts it started this time.

This has been happening since the car was about 12 months old but they have never been able to identify the issue. Today I did my own research and found the class-action suit all about the TIPM issue!

So frustrating! Dodge needs to supply totally new modules with better electronics!

as i left the store my vehicle would not start , it cranked and cranked but did not turn over. after letting it sit for 15-20 min it finally started. took it to the dealer, they have had it for 7 days driving it all over the place telling me they can not get it to duplicate the problem. they are replacing the Cam Shaft Positioning Sensor, saying it was reported to work in another case.

after leaving my house, and going to do what ever. when i get back into my vehicle, sometimes it will not not start. it will crank and crank but not start. i have taken it to the dealer for this issue but the dealer's response is that they can not get it to duplicate the problem while at the dealer and they do not want to just throw parts at it.

I kept getting a bad key error and the security system red for wouldn't go off. My car wouldn't start or turn over try after try until finally it did. Same problem happened off and on becoming more frequent. At first dealership found an error code starting with a W that indicated some kind of frequency interference. Thinking it was a magnetic door fob for an office building I had on my key ring. I removed it and they reset everything. Problem stopped for several weeks then randomly started again but this time worse. Now they say it's the WIN module. I am reading recalls for ever make and model but mine. I would like to find out if one is going to be announced for mine at all or if anyone else has the same issue before I pay $590 to fix it

2012 Durango was not wanting to start first thing in the AM. I would push the start button and the engine would crank but not start. I would turn everything off and try again, starting successfully. Immediately took it to the dealership and had the problem successfully fixed.

I have three recalls on my Durango and Dodge dealership has no parts to fix it. The most recent started few days ago. The truck would have trouble starting, clicks after clicks still nothing! It's very frustrating! Dodge knows about this issue but are still trying to figure out how to fix it. So now what am I suppose to do?!? Pay on a truck I can't use? That's just BS for Dodge to leave us high and dry. I will never buy another Dodge again!

The engine turns over but won't start. Dodge replaced the fuse box twice. But it's still happening. I've found that if I pop the hood & push the fuses down it will start directly after that. It's going back to Dodge in a few days to try again.

Most times when I go to start the truck it will not start. If it does start it dies immediately. When I try to start it again, the starter seems to get stuck, so I turn the key off and have to try it again. Eventually it will start and run normal. Just this morning, I went to move the vehicle, and it had no power. Once I hooked up the jumper cables I could hear a humming noise, which I assume would be the fuel pump, as I have read many complaints online about it not turning off due to the TIPM. After I started it and let it run for a while I shut it off and could still here the fuel pump. I should not have to pull the fuse so that my battery will not die due to a defective part. I just got this truck a little over 2 months ago and have had the starting problem since I've got it. Now I got this fuel pump issue. I should not have to pay for something that Chrysler is aware of and, at this point, has chose not to do anything about.

Durango Citadel V8

My Durango started having issues in September and occurred about a half dozen times until this week when every time I get in my car it now takes 15-20 minutes for it to start. I thought maybe it was the fuel pump or starter because the engine would turn over and try to start for about 20 seconds then stop. I am planning on taking the vehicle in to be looked at but if it doesn't have the issue while the mechanic is looking at it I doubt they will do anything to solve the problem.

I have researched this issue online and see that more than likely it is due to the TIPM and with the shortage of parts available to fix the problem I could be looking at another 2 months of my vehicle not starting because Dodge hasn't recalled all Durangos only the 3.6L models to correct the defect.

I began hearing a hissing noise on my 2012 Dodge Durango on Nov 21, 2014, which I thought was a tire going flat. It turned out not to be that. The hissing stopped after about an hour. No indicator lights came on to advise of an issue or problem with the vehicle. The truck was difficult to start on 21, 23, 25 November 2014 then started eventually with hesitation in the transmission.

Today 4 December 2014 the truck would not start at all. I could not unlock it with the key fob which has brand new batteries. I unlocked the door with the key and tried to start the engine to no avail.

I've had this vehicle almost a year. I am out running errands one day ,come out & it won't turn over. The remote start won't work.....nothing. I call roadside assistance & the rollback comes after an hour &1/2. The driver says that he can't pick it up because of positioning & it won't allow a shift into neutral because the car won't turn over. I have to wait another two hours for a tow truck to come & pick up from the rear & pull it out. Towed to dealership & still it sits to this day. I called the service advisor & he says the techs are trying to reset the computer & everything else because they don't know what's wrong. Information message says press clutch & push button. Usual message is press brake & push button. Car is automatic & has no clutch ....so what the #@!% Tomorrow is day 4. Hope to hear something & have good news. In the meantime I am contacting attorney for class action suit to add my name . Hopefully Chrysler will admit that this issue needs some attention & do the right thing for their customers. I am also the proud owner of a 2006 Dodge Ram. Trying to be loyal to a company I like but can't be in a one sided relationship.

It wouldn't start, said key not detected. Tried to start but wouldn't turn over. Had to get neighbor to jump it off. Went to part store, alt and battery were good. Brought to dealership service they said they reprogrammed it. And sent me on my way. 9/26/2014 sitting in the lobby at Dodge and found an article regarding my same issues. My vehicle also went out on the interstate starting to believe its the TIPM issue. Mentioned the article to service guy he pretty much dismissed me. Said yeah they used to have that problem. Waiting to see what's gonna happen.

Started about a month ago. Car tries to turn over. Takes about 3 tries to get it going. Once it's going it's okay. Noticed fuel mileage dropped from 22-23 to 18-19. Have not been stranded...YET. I'm a mom with kids-- Dodge/Chrysler better get this fixed. Dealer says everyone is having this problem..why won't Dodge/Chrysler acknowledge it? Will drop it off at dealer in a few days...next available appointment they tell me...If I don't have to have it towed there by then. Dealer actually asked me if I had to have it towed there!? This must be happening quite often. Mine seems to be getting worse each day. You buy a nice expensive car expecting it to last. Buy American they tell us!!! Well if we buy then they need to stand behind their products!!!

Durango SXT 3.6L V6

I own a 2012 Dodge Durango sxt V6. I purchased the vehicle used in November, 2013. My wife drove the Durango to work last night and when she went to start it this morning there was nothing! I have been having problems getting it started for a few weeks now. Sometimes it would start right up and others you would have to try about 5 times while it just kept on cranking but not turning over.

I took it to AutoZone a few weeks ago and they ran a test and said it was something to do with the vapor emissions system, meaning it could be a gas cap or a hose leaking. I was told I needed to take it to a mechanic and have the system fogged but I didn't have the money at the time. So this morning I drove our only other vehicle to my wife's work and jump started the Durango and it fired right up. I then drove the Durango to AutoZone and had the alternator and battery tested and I was told that my alternator is bad. They wanted approximately $481.00 for the part. I did not buy it due to not having that type of cash right now and drove the vehicle home and parked it in my garage.

When I got out, I noticed a hissing/air leaking noise coming form underneath around the fuel tank. I went into the house and got onto the computer and began looking for answers. I went back into the garage about 2 hours later and that noise is still there. It turns out to be the fuel pump not shutting off. I went to start the Durango but it is dead, again! So now I'm stuck until at least Tuesday morning because it is a holiday weekend and the dealership is closed tomorrow. I am due back at work Tuesday and have no idea on how I'm going to get there! Let alone come up with the money to replace this TIMP thing that is most likely causing the issue. I will not buy an alternator until I have this checked first.

The company needs to stand behind its product and recall this problem and get it fixed!

Durango RT 5.7L

Bought this vehicle as a certified used car less than a month ago. About two weeks ago it failed to start. Would turn over but not crank or crank and die out. Took to dealership yesterday and they claimed a simple software flash fixed all the issues and there shouldn't be any more issues.

Our sons first day of pre-k was this morning and the wife and I headed out to take him to the bus stop and wouldn't you know it, the damn truck wouldn't start. Spent 20 min trying to get it started and once it fired up and ran I was off to the dealership. Walked right past the service writer straight to the manager who I specifically told that the TPIM was taking a sh*t and said come walk with me and you can see this happen for yourself. Needless to say the truck will be at the dealership for the near future while the TPIM is on national backorder. FIAT needs to address their new responsibilities and recall all these vehicles. I will come back and update this when we get this resolved.

First incident at 60,000. Annoying yes! Thought it was just a fluke.

Then at 62,000 the car make same gurgling noise, was told my dealership when taken in after last incident to try to put the car in gear. I attempted to place car in reverse died immediately.

Update from Aug 25, 2014: Car has been at dealership four days. Died on them while running. Now after them telling me no idea what is going on and a little investigating by us they are telling us it is the tipm. No idea when we will get the part, last part took 2 weeks. Extremely frustrated with Dodge and their total lack of responsibility knowing from several posts that this is a nation wide issue!!!!
