problem #2

Grand Caravan SXT 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 82,500 miles

Car got T-boned in an accident and was pushed laterally about 4 to 5 feet from impact. Insurance adjuster stated that he "couldn't verify if it was caused by the accident or just that pesky leak that Dodge and Chrysler know about and haven't issued a recall for".

Dealer said it would be about $900.00 to replace and failed the vehicle for state inspection due to the leak. Come to find out it's a leaking seal.

Grand Caravan V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

The power steering fluid was leaking because apparently the reservoir was defective. The engine makes an asthmatic wheezing noise and crunching when we make a right turn. The dealership replaced it because the car was still under warranty. However, a couple of months after getting a new one, the fluid seems to be getting low again (in such a short period of time). I just kept refilling and not even bothering to take it back. If they keep replacing with defective parts, it will always have the same problem. I hate having to continuously taking the car to the shop and not have my only vehicle to drive to work.
