Power steering rack / gearbox defect. 2nd. Time needing to be replaced. On manufacturers back order. Dealership said 10,000 on national back order. I cannot drive this vehicle until it is repaired.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Caravan. The contact took her vehicle to have an oil change and a leak was discovered in the power steering rack. The dealer stated that the steering gear needed to be replaced. Prior to going to the dealer, the contact heard a loud noise when turning in either direction. The VIN was unknown.
