It started out as the van would not start almost everytime I got ready to leave and would have someone jump my battery, and it would start right back up. after a few weeks of having to do this, i had help jumping my battery once again but this time my wind shield wipers wouldnt shut off resulting in me having to take the fuse out and back in when it rains. when this happened the what i believe is called the "multi functional shift " (the stick on the left side of steering wheel that controls my wipers, wiper fluid, turn signals, bright lights, etc.) completely stopped working with no sign of it having problems previously. Along with that the stereo keeps flickering and switching channels on its own. Lastly, when i am pumping gas, i can barely pull up the trigger without the pump shutting off like as if my tank was full. This has all happened in the last 6 or 7 months or so and has not yet been investigated.

The contact owns a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving 55 mph, the windshield wipers functioned independently and all the warning indicators started to flicker on the instrument panel. The contact coasted the vehicle over to the side of the road and powered off the engine. The vehicle was restarted, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 175,000.

Windshield wipers turn on and off erratically. Headlights turn on and off erratically. Gauges don't work, can't open or close side and rear door. This is due to the tipm not functioning properly

Instrumental cluster lights turn on, all dial indicators go to 0, wipers turn twice, outside lights turn on and then off, and warning beeps inside. Can repeat different frequency time, but usually every few seconds. Some warning lights remain on, especially brake warnings and airbag. 2 dealers reviewed and recognized issue but stated did not know what to do. Rarely, after start-up only brake light and airbag warnings stay on and no other light issue. First dealer replaced instrument cluster and improved by no left dial issue, but warning lights still occur. All warning lights, center dial, and right dial, lights, and wiper issues still occur. Dealer checked and noted programming issue but informed nothing can do. Now occurs more often. All brake warning lights now always show after beginning to drive. Then all other warning lights, and so on, begin as noted. Recorded and attached. Frequency has increased. If I turn outside lights on, lights will not turn off when issue occurs but turn signal still stops when I have them on. Other drivers then do not know if I am turning. Airbag, brake, fuel lights, wipers, and outside lights worry me since everything shows warning or stops while driving, as frequent as every few seconds during entire drive. Is one of the issues real or are they all pretend due to the vehicle issue? occurs all speeds, temperatures, and so on.

Our van keeps running out of oil completely before oil change is due, dealer has already replaced oil pan and rear main seal. Problem still exists and they are saying the rear main seal again. Does not make any sense because there is no oil in parking spot or under vehicle near rear main seal. Online many people report that it is a engine problem and that it is a common issue with the motor... so why are people having to pay for repairs when this motor should be recalled. It is currently at the dealership now being repaired or replacing rear main seal again.

While driving the wipers, headlights, and dashboard started operating crazy. It would occur every 30 seconds and would not stop. The only solution (temporary) was to remove the fuse associated with the driver side door. This caused the craziness to stop, but now I lost all ability to operate any functions on the driver side door. The fuse was tested and it is working just fine. While this was not an immediate danger, it was still scary having this happen to me while driving with my young children in the car. We are unable to discover a permanent solution. After review, it appears we are diffidently not alone. Please figure this out!

All the dash lights / electronics go off and come back on intermittently along with the windshield wipers turning on and off at the same time. The power doors do not work reliably either as they have closed randomly while open. It's very distracting while driving and we feel it puts us at risk of an accident, or worse, when it occurs. Dealership has problems diagnosing it do to the intermittent nature, but can pull off bunches of codes, when hooked up to their scan tool. However, none of the error codes point to what caused the problem, just that a problem has occurred. They replaced the tpim module, but that did not fix the problem and they have pretty much given up..
