problem #2

Grand Caravan Crew 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

When I started having problems with the ac/heating controls, I contacted the closest dealership and brought it in to have it checked out. They said it was the motherboard for the controls. Within a week it happened again. Brought it back and they changed it again. Again within a week it started up again. I have had it in on and off over the last couple years and they cannot find a solution!

What happens is when it hits a certain temp and I need to use either the ac or heat, I turn the fan up and have the temps the same, it will flicker on and off, cannot turn the fan lower or higher, it changes the temp. It really bugs out

Grand Caravan 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57,000 miles

Back in August the AC started to turn itself on periodically. I would turn it back off, but that was no help, it would just come back on. Both front and back units do this, although I appear to have a bit better control of the front unit. I have been able to adjust the temperature and fan. The rear control always comes on set at 82 degrees, blowing at almost full fan, just one notch down. I have tried turning the temp down, turning the fan control down, to no avail. It has become annoying, just this morning on my trip to work (12 miles) I had to turn it off at least 15 times.

Will be taking it in soon for an oil change and will ask the tech to check it out.
