This issue went away for a short period of time after the recall was fixed for the wiring harnesses in the door, but it came back and has progressively gotten worse.

Car wouldn't start 6/08/10. After 20 minutes, it did. Took to dealer. Replaced module 4692302-AC. Ever since, intermittently, when hit unlock doors on key fob, alarm goes off. Won't shut off. Must use regular key to enter and then fob in ignition to stop. One exciting day right in the parking lot of where I work, even the key fob in the ignition wouldn't work. Alarm kept sounding for 3 minutes, even with car movement. So humiliating! Or at the pizza store, grocery store, appliance store, gas station.

Had it in 6 - 8 times; other modules replaced, dash wiring redone. STAR said last try was the dash wiring, other than that, they got nothing else. That was April;; within a month, same old alarm problem. It's been a whole year. Now want to be rid of it. Last week, dealer offers nothing; will take for lousy trade in. Dealer's Chrysler rep said "go to arbitration". Service manager gives me number to the arbitation company, Impartial Services Group, but no one answers and they want me to leave a message. I don't, but call Chrysler Corp. number in my warranty group. I patiently tell customer rep what's up. She says someone will call me within 48 hours. I call back in 72 hours, asking why no one has called. This rep says that my complaint was not shown as wanting a call back! I ask her just how many people call Chrysler about a complaint and don't want a call back?! Within two days, a person from Impartial Services Group calls me. I ask her how she got my number (I'm waiting for Chrysler to call me back). She said from Chrysler. I'm kind of confused as to why someone didn't call me back from Chrysler and why it went directly to the arbitrator, as the service manager at my dealer told me IGS was the arbitrator. Anyway, she takes down my info and says she'll call back. Today she calls me to try and rectify the situation by having me take it in, etc. I'm incredulous, because I figure we're all beyond this - the Chrysler rep said go to arbitation, the service manager said go to arbitation, and she's the arbitrator, right? Then she says, no, I'm not the arbitation company; I try to help you get your car fixed! OMG! Does ANYONE at Chrysler know what they are doing? Does ANYONE at Chrysler want more customers? No one from Chrysler calls me back, even though I call Chrysler. They pass it off to IGS - wow, way to help your customer! Makes me feel even worse than what my dealer has done to me yet somehow not surprised. Anyway, today she says my complaint is going to the top area rep. I ask her, for Chrysler or IGS? She said Chrysler, but who knows. I said, who's the arbitration company for Michigan? She doesn't know. Wow - neither does Chrysler!

So, in summary. One-year of same electrical problem. Can't be fixed. (Chrysler should be ashamed of themselves!). No one at dealer knows how the arbitation works, even though Service Manager pointed out the language in a signed piece of paper. Even though you call Chrysler Corp., no one at Chrysler will ever call back - it goes straight to IGS, which IS NOT the arbitration company contrary to what the Service Manager told me.

So this happened a few times. I press to open the car and BOOM! the alarm goes off and the key completely shuts down. Can't open the car, NOTHING! Have to get the "real" key inside the mechanical key out and open the car manually (ie. put the key in the key slot and open the car). If you have this car, you know that when you have it valeted to whatever you take the "real" key out and the mechanical key stays with the valet, well I did that once when I went out for my birthday as not to carry my entire keychain and when I came, I pressed unlock and BOOM! alarm, shut down, locked out. Had to call a locksmith and pay $200 (because my car is high security or something) to get back inside my car. Insurance covered this but when I took it to the dealer to get checked out it never happened to them so they didn't do anything about it. Go figure. So now I don't dare just take the mechanical key. I take the entire key off my keychain and go.
