problem #2

Apr 192012

Journey R/T V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

Unable to play DVDs or CDs in 6 disk changer, which is a huge pain in the ass with 2 young children on a long car ride. It was replaced with a refurbished unit which then failed a short time later... Stay tuned for that complaint, and another one after that... Yep, 3 replaced units...

Journey SXT 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 102,526 miles

My entertainment unit just quit working without any warning or sign of failure. It was working when I parked the car and then not working when I started it again. It's been a couple of weeks now and a couple of times all of the lights on the unit started flashing on and off but then nothing again. The Uconnect is still connecting to my phone when I start the vehicle but there is no transmission of anything through the unit. I have replaced the radio fuse and removed and replaced the IOD fuse, to no avail.

Has anyone had a similar problem that they have found the solution to? I have just spent $3000 on the vehicle so not too keen on spending more at this time but that is a whole other post.

thanks!
