I have received a recall notice, in June I was told my vehicle was 'on the list' for repair. It is now almost the end of August and my vehicle is still 40 down on the list. Dodge is sending one out at a time - and will not send a new one until the dealer can demonstrate installation of the last one sent. My car randomly wont start at times, just wont start. This is a safety based recall and these time delays are not acceptable. I was now told today that there have been more recalls, based on more specific part list- and as such the the list will be jiggled based on the actual part I need. How do is this acceptable- its not the dealers, my car is unsafe and Dodge will not ship parts in a timely manner.

On multiple occasions over the past few years my 2009 Dodge Journey will not start. There is no warning and it's become a gamble to drive my car and risk getting stranded somewhere. The vehicle will just click when I turn the keyfob and sounds like a dead battery, but all lights, radio, windows etc work fine. I have replaced the battery 3X as suggested by my local Dodge dealership but they fail to identify why this is a recurring problem. I have also been waiting for almost a year for repairs related to recalls they are unable to correct since the parts are not available. My vehicle also has a history of the panic alarm going off when pushing the unlock button the keyfob (I've made sure the panic was not hit by accident - this is not operator error). Once the panic alarm is sounding the keyfob becomes useless and won't work. I have to take the key out of the fob, unlock the door using the key, get in put keyfob in car turn car on, turn car back off, take keyfob out of ignition and click the unlock and/or panic buttons to get the alarm to shut off.

Periodically car will not start. Turn the ignition key and would click. Would try several times. After waiting for sometimes an hour or more, car would start. Thought related to ignition recall. Finally had ignition replaced. Within next day, didn't start again. Took to Dodge dealer. They replaced ignition again. Still periodically not starting. Turn key and it will click but not start. After several trys, it will start. Also, airbag warning light came on. Took back to dealer. Dodge dealer had for a week. Finally said its a faulty tipm. Saw there is a class action suit and several complaints.
