I own a 2009 Dodge Journey. And received recall notification L25 / NHTSA 14V-373 however the part to do the repair was not available. I think that the manufacturer had far exceeded a reasonable amount of time. I have experienced the failure in several incidents of car not starting, fortunately, there have been no wrecks yet. I've been on phone for over an hour trying to get someone to answer my call from Chrysler customer service 1-800-853-1403. I want something done and I want it done now, before someone gets injured due to this lack of action from Chrysler!

After starting up the vehicle, the radio and information display will not function at all. When the vehicle is then shut off the battery will drain rather quickly( within 8 hours) and kill the battery. If the battery is disconnected and then reconnected the radio and display will then work. This happens frequently depending on how many time the vehicle is started and stopped.my mechanic has traced it to the tipm, totally integrated power module.

In October 2014 I received a letter stating Chrysler had a safety recall on the frequency operated button ignition key for my Journey. As of March 2, 2105 I have yet to receive a letter to get this fixed. I think 6 months is more than enough time to have this recall taken care of for my car. The letter said I had to wait for another letter stating the part was at the dealer. I have never gotten this letter. Could you please tell me what is taking so long and when this problem will be fixed?
