Engine burned up while driving, oil light did not work. Dealer said they paid half? Bought this 09 Journey in 2010, so many things have gone wrong. This car has cost me so much money that I do not have. I expected to keep this car forever. I am so upside down in the car, I don't know how to get rid of it.

JOURNEY BURNING OIL:

Took it to the dealer and they couldn't find the problem. They just told us to check the oil more. Had the oil CHANGED, thinking maybe that the last time it was done the screw was not tighten properly. That was just a little over 4 months ago and we have had to add oil every time we filled up since then. We took it to a regular garage and they check it out and told us that it was burning oil somewhere most likely from the valves which will be very costly.

Chrysler will not cover the engine, since I was 6,000 miles overdue on my oil change. They will not warranty the car if you do not change the oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. In trying to find an engine , I understand there are 35 dealers waiting for new engines. Something wrong??? It doesn't take a genius to see how crooked Chrysler is. It is too bad I really admired Lee Iacocca. He should have let the bums go down the drain years ago. Now the way they treat their customers, they will screw themselves. They deserve everything that happens to them.. Cheating little old ladies... God help them...
